I've noticed a ton of spam in the last 24 hours. I wish HP had a better filtering system.

Yep, and no one is doing anything about it. I've reported loads of it, and the people posting it. It kind of makes you feel that no one gives a monkey's about HubPages anymore.

I hear you. I have reported it as well, and it's too time-consuming. I have better things to do, like write.

You don't need to report spam. You can concentrate on writing.

The spam is being removed as best as we can. It gets removed daily.

    Good morning...

Are you referring to Spam Emails?

No. Spam in the forums. It's crazy.

No, it is the comment feed or followers (with no articles) irritating you. They sell their products.

Now I understand.  That must be incredibly annoying.  I will give credit to HP regarding one aspect, however. Several years ago, I used to get spam emails from new members who would join just to send them via the contact the author feature.  And other weird emails as well.  I don’t receive those anymore.  I do get emails from people who are not members but used to comment on articles on hubs that were not on LetterPile.  They keep asking why they can’t post comments any more.

No, the complaint is about spam being posted on the forums, not directly to individuals. We've had a spate of blanket postings in a foreign language. So much so that genuine posts were pushed down to the second page. Same in the topical forum.

Most are easy to spot, leaving comments on two or three year old forum threads.

This is what we are talking about. This is the Topical forum. An AI-generated post followed by a spam comment, followed by the blanket posting of foreign-language spam.
