Curious question as a new hubber. What does our profile score indicate? I noticed the highest I've got so far is 72 and now it drops to 59. Does this affect our profile's credibility? Thanks for any response
No one really knows but I think it takes activity and article scores into account.
I agree with Bev. The more articles you write and the higher your articles score, the higher your rating will be. This also includes your participation on the forums. You are still pretty new here. Give it some time.
HP is not transparent, so it's hard to determine what some things mean, such as the profile score.
The score doesn't matter. It's just a way of encouraging people to write and participate but it doesn't affect view numbers or earnings.
Time to dust this off for another airing.
The Hubscore is a complex calculation that starts with your shoe size. This is multiplied by the last three digits of your social security number. Then Factor X is deployed. Not even HubPages knows the numerical value of Factor X, although I suspect Google does and uses it to downgrade everybody's writing. Finally, the circumference of a randomly selected rutabaga is measured; this number is set aside and plays no further part in the calculation.

It doesn’t matter. It’s really hard to determine what it is for.

As some of you may have noticed ads show up on articles, the answer section and the forums. Great, the more ads the more that we can possibly earn. But I am still having a problem with the hubber (profile) score. Since any links that appear on a hub are no follow if the profile score is below 85,...

Profile scoresI have been reading a few hubs and comments regarding profile scores. Out of curiosity I have been searching for samples and have come upon a few that do seem out of place: Example: hubber with 6 followers, 19 Hubs, and 4 weeks in the site but with a profile score of above 90. Does...

For the first three years, my profile score on HP was around 85. I was redudant on HP for the next two and a half years and my score starts to declined. Presently it is ranging between 42 and 43. Can inactivity be a factor? Or what can cause this?

My profile score is usually pretty steady. I get on hubpages during the weekend. It drops 4 or 5 points when I get on here during the weekday. I don't do it very often (maybe once a month). Why does my score drop with the extra activity?
