Feels like we're all alone big_smile

HP has not been abandoned! As always, when stats and earnings are delayed, they will be updated, and spam will be removed.

I think HP's been gradually abandoned over a number of years.

While they were still employing a crowd of editors to try and revive our rankings, I felt we were safe.

    That's over now.

Well my hubs that used to once get 400 views a day during the summer months (dengarden) were getting around 25-75 a day over the past couple of years. Now that they are moved to discover it is 1. At least there is that one visitor xD

I wonder if in time it will climb up as Google gets familiar with their new home. But from my point of view updates or not, staff or not. Stealing the websites we built through our content and now taking them the editorial route is a sign that it is dead, more so than any time in the past. And I am here for 13 years, not a short time.

I’m in the same boat as you. I have been here 13 years and was earning excellent money on PetHelpful.

I doubt Google will recognize Discover as an authority in our niches unless we reinstate engagement (comments, upvotes etc) and make Discover more like Reddit or Quora (which Google loves).

On the network sites, our content performed well because it directly targeted a focused audience (eg pet owners). The readers there are specifically looking for the type of detailed insights we provide. However, Discover caters to a much broader and more generalized audience with more diverse topics. Without engagement they will get lost, falling into the infinite pit of lower rankings.

I don't see why the existing new format website that was introduced to ensure consistency across TAG and HubPages sites needs to be kept. So why can't the old format be used which would restore the comments facility? But that would take time and money. I guess Discover is just a junk room now that won't be improved or maintained, apart from keeping it ticking over, if that.

So, I am not abandoned; just left alone for increasingly extensive periods of time in a slow decline towards abandonment....

Yes, everyone feel like abandoned. But Matt Wells has spoken. Hubpages is here to stay. And HubPages has not been abandoned. Still hope and feeling rising up and down.
