Lately, I can't help but think that there are influencers, content creators, artists, ordinary citizens who strived to put things up online for us to enjoy. It has become our source of joy and entertainment. Like because of their content or the stuff they produce and put up online back then, Quarantine and Lockdowns felt less scary and eased up my anxiety at the very least. It has given me companion and protected my sanity for quite a while. In just a span of 4 years, a lot of things has happened. It just made me think about " I remember this person used to be just like this, doing this and that on the internet. But look at them now." It somehow felt like the world paused for a long time, but for people who moved along with it and continued their life, it has progressed so much as if it was in timelapse at 10 times speed. I feel proud of them but somehow there is something in my heart like a void, a deep hole that stings just thinking about it. A lot has happened and a lot has changed. Some things makes me emotional and some happy at the same time. It is a complicated feeling. I wanted to write about this into an article, but my mind feels all over the place. I don't know how should I put my thoughts into words.

its just my lingering thoughts, what do you guys think?

In 2020 I wasn't much of a participant because I was recovering from a stroke I had in Oct. 2019. Fortunately it was mild, but it affected my vision, and I didn't drive for about two months after it occurred. I was also recovering from disappointment over an article that I'd written. For three days when it was on HP, it went great guns, but then it was moved to their travel niche site, and traffic plummeted. I don't think it ever recovered. So with two discouragements along with covid, I haven't written an article since then.

My husband and I both had covid when the authorities were saying that it had yet to reach our state. It felt like one of the worst cases of flu that I'd ever had, but I tested negative for flu. A couple of weeks later the Little Rock Air Force Base announced that they had nine cases of covid in their hospital. HELLO! I didn't think we needed to get tested for covid then because it was pretty obvious what we had.

I had been planning to do a series of articles on the beautiful sights in my state so I took advantage of a trip to the northern Ozarks to veer off to this lovely glass chapel in the woods after we attended a wedding at the unusual and beautiful Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. Then to my chagrin I was contacted by a photographer who said that I'd used his photograph without permission. Horrors!!! I felt about 2 inches tall, and I sent him a rapid but heartfelt apology. Thank goodness, he accepted the apology and allowed me to use his photo with his name included. What had happened was that my photograph of that angle and time of day somehow wasn't very good, and I thought I was using a photo from a free website. Well, believe me, lesson learned! I am thankful for his graciousness. Anyway, after all that trouble, I cancelled my plans for any more travel articles on HP. I decided that it just wasn't worth the trouble.

Now I have until tomorrow night to move my best article from DenGarden or they will shelve it, or whatever they plan to do probably is the equivalent of shelving it. In the last four years I've just enjoyed participating in the forums with my HP friends (and some not so friendly) because I don't have to keep up with photos, formatting, etc. So it looks like we all may be saying goodbye to each other in the not too distant future.

It's been a great ride, Y'all. As they used to say, "we'll see you in the funny papers."

    Go with it!
I have just updated two articles from that timeframe regarding the pandemic. But more specifically, how the pandemic was used against the people, to manipulate and control them. How freedom took on a whole new meaning for most.
It had a great impact on each of us, individually. The majority of us had never experienced  anything quite like it!
Share what's on your heart. I look forward to reading what your heart has to say. smile
