I want to continue to write articles but do not want to earn money. I do not want to deal with IRS and self employment taxes or estimated taxes. How do I write articles for Hubpages without making any money? I'm on SS, elderly and only want to write.
How to remove Google adsense.
As Judah has said HubPages don't use Google's AdSense anymore. I stand by that.
I wouldn't worry about the IRS and paying self-employment taxes. With the exception of a very few, most of us don't make enough reportable income on this platform. The basic rule is $600 per year from one source. However, payments through PayPal now must meet a minimum of $5,000 total for 2024 earnings. If you meet that threshold, PayPal will send you a 1099-K form on HubPages' behalf. But seriously, you don't have to worry about making reportable income on this platform.
This article should clear up any questions you may have:

Fran, HubPages doesn’t use Adsense anymore. It is just the HubPages ad program. You can deactivate it by going to your account, choosing Earnings, then Settings … and choose to deactivate it.
Leave it to a Pro! Thank you for letting me know. I do not want to earn money, just to write.
You can turn off the HubPages Ad and Amazon earning programs here: https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/
Fran - If you have an excess of wealth I can help with that. I'm about to launch a non-fungible token. You can invest in it and I guarantee you will lose every penny.
Yes. I do know for sure. Of late, he has turn himself into a FatFredicksCat! It's a pit that my post don't catch fun.
I'm willing to invest, do you accept crypto?
As Matt says, you just turn off all the ads to earn no money.
It's much easier to not earn than to earn!

Is google adsense only paying for clicks and not impressions? My adsense earnings have almost gone down to nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?
