What Is the Editorial Team Doing to Enhance AI Discovery of Articles

I'm sure this has been a HUGE concern, especially for long-time writers on this platform. Especially for the past year where AI Overviews, ChatGPT, AI Mode, and other LLM search tools have gained widespread use among users.

I'm also sure that the Editorial team knows that Search itself is heading towards a new direction. And it seems that the market is shifting towards optimizing for AI search engines rather than doing traditional SEO.

That's why I'm raising this concern. The amount of traffic to my articles on this site have dropped significantly over the past few months. I can't even begin to express just how catastrophic the shrinkage in organic traffic has been.

So I pose this question - what is the editorial team and the rest of the staff doing in terms of strategy?

There is only so much the writers can do. We have limited functionality and features to help optimize our content. We can go only so far as improving basic on-page SEO. This is hardly enough. Writers don't even have access to schema markups and other ways to optimize our content, with the limited features of the native HubPages user CMS.

So, what's the plan here? It's painful to see long-time writers put in the work to write quality content that's planned out, researched, and aims to provide value to readers. Unfortunately, we can't reach them if our articles can't even crack the SERPs anymore.

    To those concerned, please help.

We've been posting that TAG/HP doesn't care for a long time. They have never denied it. I consider that a silent "yes," they don't care.

Team, if there's still one, is definitely reacting to AI. But in the most appalling way.

There is no team, and no plan. The Powers That Be have abandoned HubPages to die on the vine.

FatFreddysCat is right. TAG has new ideas for the future, and we don't feature in them.

Agreed, Paul. It's as clear as the nose on our faces.
