Hi to all, I'm writing to ask you for help, as I don't understand why my article - File Hierarchy and Paths - was unpublished.
I'm asking for some tips, in order to improve the article, if needed; I'm both a novice Hubber and a novice writer.

    Thank you in advance.

    File Hierarchy and Paths

Please note that the rejected version had no titles, I decided to put them, first as improvement and second as a way to let you take a look at the article.

You should have received an email from HP advising you as to the reason. Check your email.

Hi bravewarrior, first of all, thanks for answering me and yes, I did get the mail.
I'm not understanding what the problem is though, I can't see any precise indication, all I read is:

        Hi Thomas Poppy,

Heads up! Your article wasn’t cleared for publication because it didn’t pass the Quality Assessment Process (QAP). Don’t worry, every new Hubber goes through Boot Camp, and all you need to do is improve your article so that it meets our quality standards. To graduate from Boot Camp, you must publish at least five Featured articles.

After that, the rest of the email is dedicated to featured articles.

I suggest you check out the learning center. Click on Help at the top of this page. However, you're wasting your time. HubPages has taken a steep dive into the Land of No Concern For Its Writers. It's nothing like it was when I joined in 2011!

Thank you for your feedback bravewarrior, I'm sorry to hear that.
I'll keep trying, worst case scenario, I'll gather some writing experience.

            Thanks anyway for your answer.

      Hi Thomas
First you should add an opening picture that's at least 1,400 pixels in width. That, along with any other images has to be properly credited along with a link to the original image. Should these be your own images, then credit yourself, but no link is needed.
Make sure your headings are in caps and I'm not sure if you should be underlining so many things. Someone else might known the answer to this.
I also suggest adding a title above the beginning of your article where you begin with "Understanding paths."
Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi WriterJanis, thank you so much for your suggestions.

I've seen some of your articles and I see what you mean: I didn't think about images too much, as this particular argument could be explained without them; In fact, the very first draft used text with special characters to simulate the tree and the hierarchy.

I will apply your suggestions as soon as possible. Greetings.

Hey Thomas,  I suggest you click on the Help button at the top right of your screen. There, you'll find guidelines and such.
I took a quick look at your article, and it needs editing. For example, you don't need to end your article with "Best regards from Thomas Poppy."
