    Anyone here who is in Vocal? So I created an account on Vocal and planning on moving some  of my articles there, now that this site is down at the moment. I just want to know if it is better than Hubpages? Appreciate any response.

        Shauna, it's similiar to Medium where you share stories and rely on reader's engagement in order to make money. In addition, they run different contests with monetary rewards.

          Huh. I'll check out the website to see what it has to say for itself. Medium never interested me and I hear it's going down the tubes, as well.

      I just started there, so it's too soon for me to say much, but so far the payout seems low.

        Thanks, the platform is using VPN, and I got blocked when I tried to write a story. I tried emailing them, but I have yet to receive a response.

      I’ve been on it for a long time. Not active anymore. The payout is low, but they have some initial bonuses for their V+ subscription. Traffic is criminally low. AI bots do go through and scrape it as well as AI slop gets posted. Read the stories that win contests, it might give you an idea whether it’s a style you like or not. It’s fairly easy to get a top story.

    Just started an account about a week ago,  but I haven't posted anything. From observation, it appears to be heavy on creative writing and there are a lot of contests. Still, I've noticed some categories for non-creative writing articles.

    Vocal's had its day is my understanding. I don't think it was ever that great but now it's awful if you want to earn. They rely on enticing people in with contests.

      The reviews for Vocal are terrible. The general consensus, from what I read, is the site is a sham.

        Yes. It's either creating your own site or tolerating this site as long as there's a passive income.
