    HI,
Not sure who is still around from "back in the day," but just heard HP will be shutting down. I will be moving my remaining stuff to Medium. But just wanted to say thanks to all of the folks I got to know since 2013.  Been a great ride.

I think I improved as a writer as well. smile    Really hope to see you guys online somewhere in the future. Keep writing. We can always use more knowledge.

Have a great holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

In case you do not know, content remaining on the niche sites you no longer have access to. Owlcation belongs to TAG and not HP now. They have taken control of the remaining articles and we cannot edit/delete or earn from them.

Those are the official announcements for when we lost access to the niche sites.

I'd email Haley Davis or team HubPages and request that all of your niche site articles be moved to Discover. You will not be able to delete them otherwise.

Are our articles automatically moved to Medium or Discover?  If not how do we do that?  Is there a link to these sites so we can move them ourselves? Really don't understand what is happening with HP other than they are shutting down.  Any help would be appreciated.

Medium is a completely different platform. You'd have to publish your articles there yourself.

Your articles on Discover or Hubpages.com will be inaccessible after the end of Feb, so make sure you have saved them before then.

Many of us have saved and then removed them as we don't want the owners of HP to continue to make money from them.

There are many threads on the forums about the shutdown.

Thank you for your help. It's appreciated.  I have looked into Medium, but not Discover.  Have to find the link to it.

Discover is just a catch-all site for HubPages. You have articles there: https://discover.hubpages.com/entertain … es-box-set

I am reading this thread after being away from HP for a very long time. I'm sad to see that this ship has sailed, or is sailing away. I have a question and appreciate feedback from those of you who have been on this platform for a long time. I understand the wisdom in copying and saving all of our articles, and I've already done that. My question is: Is there any benefit whatsoever in keeping any of our articles on HP, being that we will no longer earn and will have no control over any edits made to them? I don't like the idea of having my name attached to articles that may not represent what I want them to as a result of edits over which I no longer have control. Of course, I don't like the idea of HP making money off of my work either. Thank you in advance.

There is no benefit to the writer other than being able to point people to your published writing.

Personally, it's not a privilege I am willing to sacrifice my work for.
