If we delete our accounts, will we still get a final payout?

My guess is no. So it's best just to delete all articles but not the account (I've moved almost everything at this point).

It would be good to get clarification but I don't know if staff are even engaging with the forum anymore...

I didn't have the heart to delete all mine, so I just unpublished them all. I also took screenshots of my earnings pages, so I know my current balances.

I believe you misread. I'm referring to *accounts* not articles.

I have ten accounts so my last payout could be a couple of hundred. I'd rather delete my accounts but I don't want to miss out on the last bit of money. I haven't checked yet how much I'm due.

I would definitely delete all articles. Leaving them in draft form may mean that HP publish them after they take possession in a few days.

I presume that deleting accounts will mean forfeiting a final payment (which looks like $270 plus for me when I add up all accounts) so I won't do it.

I'd rather delete everything here to be honest but money is money, I guess.

Ah. I hadn't thought about deleting my account. Hoping they'll leave it to die a slow death and I can just point to it in a decade like I do my still-active Myspace page haha. I only have three accounts.

Psychologically, I would rather have a completely clean break but I'm not willing to do that if it means losing out on a last little windfall.

Trust is so low that I don't even like them having my identity. I have visions of "PaulGoodman67" starting to write hubs again later this year.

It was sad what happened to MySpace. I never wanted to leave but the crowd went to Facebook, so I reluctantly followed. Now Facebook is swamped with ads and "recommendations" and dying, and there's not really an equivalent alternative.

During the Golden Age, I used to start every day with HubPages, looking to see how much I'd earned while I was asleep. Those were the days!

I just finished copying all of the articles I want to save--over 200.  I started on HubPages in 2011 and it was a fantastic experience for me.  I ended up earning over $100,000 with 38 million views.  I'm sad to see it go.  I'll probably do something with my articles elsewhere but I will always have fond memories of HubPages.  I was never very active in the forum community but did do the apprenticeship program and made some friends through that.  I also got to go on the trip to Whittier, which may not have been a wise financial move for Maven but was fun.  Goodbye everyone!  Best wishes.
