I saw this story on a kids news show and couldn't quite believe it so went looking for corroborating stories. Seems the earth quake in Chile might have shortened the day by 1.26 millionths of a second and estimates also state that the Earths axis has shifted by about 3 inches. Wow! Weird stuff, fun for a doomsday nut like me

Leave it to you to shorten my day! Oh well, guess i better reset the alarm clock. Now just have to grab the old calculator and figure this out....
Okay, that should do it.
wtf? an earthquake made the day shorter? is the earth smaller now or something? thers KIDS news? YOU WATCH KIDS NEWS?...
Ill just sleep less, or live longer?
Kids news is the only news worth watching IMO, they don't do as much fear mongering
Supposedly the day is SUPPOSED to get longer as the earths spins slows, thats what I want, a longer day!
For such a positive person, that statement was the last thing I expected you to say.
But, I did read the story about the Earth shifting it's axis because of the quake in Chile.
It was interesting to say the least.
I like little running guys with letters overhead.... I like things that are shiny too.
Why doesn't that surprise me?
Hey Faybe, how are you today?
I'm good, but I am low about A Texan's forum ban. He was about to congratulate me on my Hundred, and they said he was banned, so he fanned me so he could congratulate me.
Don't worry about it his being banned. It isn't worth the energy. It happens to everyone who over-steps the rules of the forum.
Try not to let it get to you.
I know. I just never even had a run in. I had run ins with people I never met. I came back to a post and found they had all been baiting me, so I took a break from the forum. Mind you the ones baiting me, had never interacted with me, the conversation was with others and from the night before.
I didn't report it. Why would I?
I had great respect for those who decided I was a joke having never read a single hub of mine.
I even recommended them to others, having noticed their high intelligence of the game.
This too got to me.
It also means that everybody just became a little bit lighter (in weight not mass), good news for weightwatchers everywhere!

Hi Hubbers,I am curious as to how long you would spend from start to finish on any particular hub, do you set yourself an amount of time to spend on it? Would you spend longer than one day on one hub?tlcs is curious!

Hey. I was wondering how long it takes you to write a hub. Perhaps an average time overall or for various types of hubs. I read somewhere of a guy who wrote 10 hubs a day for 10 days! In my dreams. I take well over two hours per hub. Probably more if I added it all up. Thanks,Juliet

I am just about 7 hours away from my first week with no adsense earnings. I am sitting on that Fat Zero for way too long and its not even itching now.

How much time do you normally require to write a hub on the average? I am asking this because I can easily write a hub within 30-40 minutes time and sometimes a hub will take a couple of hours or so. BUT food hubs are taking a lot longer to complete, maybe because I haven't written much articles on...

How long does it take a pending hub to be reviewed?

How far is too far for a day trip?If you don't want to spend the night somewhere, how far is too far for just a day trip? We are considering making a 3 1/2 hour drive to the beach spending 3-5 hours there then making the ride back. Too far with kids? Would it be too far for you?
