OK, I didn't necessarily graduate at the top of my class, but I've formatted text before on other editors from an MS Word doc.
I saw a video re:hubPages that claimed to click the text, then edit button, and a popup will appear to insert the text.
The 'text' logo on the upper left isn't clickable, so when I hit the edit button and insert, the text covers as much territory as there is from San Diego to L.A. Reformatting my entire article is a project in itself.
What am I not seeing that could make my first hub a simpler endeavor?
I'm not entirely sure what symptom you are describing, but if your text is not properly formatted, it is likely because it was imported as "preformatted". Hit the "edit" tab on the text box, highlight the offending text, and then click on the drop-down list of styles. Select "paragraph". That should fix it.
When you're editing your hub and you edit a specific text capsule, instead of using CTRL V to do a paste (which will open another new window, provided you don't have pop-ups bloc) do it this way: Right Click > Paste.
If you have formatted text that you've copied it should paste it correctly. Though HubPages has limited formatting. It will do bold, italics, hyperlinks and headings... I think that's about it.

I went through the forums, and found a thread on this. The suggestion was to sign out and sign back in. I tried, but without success. Any thoughts? THANKS!!

I dont recall this happening before yesterday, but I guess I could be wrong.. When I have a text box with a photo, the text is not wrapping.. and its leaving a massive white space under the pic.. is this normal? It doesnt look very sexy!

Sometimes, my eyes play tricks on me, and I don't spot a typo or punctuation glitch when I'm writing, necessitating a vist to the 'edit' button. This is an extremely frustrating process, beause I write poetry, most of which is carefully formatted with non-traditional line breaks. This is hard enough...

Its weird and hard to read. Why would someone publish a hub like this. Freckles аrе small flat brown spots thаt аppеаr оn sun-exposed skin, еѕpеcіаlly thе face аnd arms. Freckles аrе inherited аnd bеcоmе darker with consistent sun exposure. Ultraviolet rays frоm thе sun You...

Do you have trouble formatting text in the text capsule of your hubs?I don't know if it's just me but this has been an ongoing problem for me since I joined HP. I prefer to type my work out in a word document and then copy-paste but sometimes the format is ruined. Usually, my spacing is...
