I started writing a new hub and made a mistake in the url title. It is called "Letting Go Of Your Grown Daughter" It should be "Letting Go Of Your Growing Daughter" So, when you think about it sounds like I am talking about a full grown adult and not my teenage daughter. Any thoughts? Will I get a penalty for this?
edit your hub title and change the error, it wont change the url, but it will use the keywords that people use to search for the information you are providing.
the other option is to delete that hub all together and start again in a new hub.....jimmy
The URL shouldn't affect your score. Same for SEO traffic. I think someone said that a URL mispelling can affect traffic, but with the myriad of word spellings, I don't see how search engines would be able to tell whether you spelled it that way on purpose or not.
will hubpages penalize me though if the title suggests adults when I am writing about teenagers?
Hubpages definitely will not penalize you. But did you ask yourself for what keyword you want to rank in search engines?
Make sure it is correct in the page description "summary" text, too.

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

To satisfy my own curiosity, I would like to know why one of the hubs that was transferred from Squidoo, has such a low "hub score". I have gone over it with a fine-toothed comb, and cannot figure it out. It currently has 11,945 words, many photos, and is - in my opinion - informative....

If you unpublish a hub, but leave it on the list, does it affect your score? My score is down and I am trying to raise up back up, but it seems that no matter what I do it is still low. I do, however, have several hubs I have unpublished so I can work on them at a latter date.

Does your URL affect your placement in the search engines? As many of you know, we are unable to change the URL after publishing a hub. Yet, we are able to change the title. Having a better title helps in the search engines, knowing this, my question is does your URL matter?
