Who was the first person you acknowledged as being gay or lesbian? And, how old were you?
For me, it was Elton John. I was somewhere between 10-12 years old, but can't remember who told me.
she still wont admit it. Its "wrong" and all
she wanted me to get naked in bed with her, she said she would be the man...
And tha't's when you were only 8!!!! Yehu, Mray, Joseph, God Almighty, the only reason you are you is because you were the only sane one in your family....
I might be "the most sane" in my familly..but Im still not sure Im actually sane! haha
My ex best friend but then again it could be my brother however that one is not confirmed but my ex best friend told me after I moved away
Well...there was also a guy in high school, he was picked on because he liked to wear nail polish when he was young. I didn't really know him that well, and I don't really know if he was gay. Just everyone who knew him when he was young said he was.
One of my Dad's work mates.
Dad told us when we met him that he was gay and that he copped a lot of flack at work for being a "Poofta."
Dad said he was a good bloke, and invited him up for the weekend quite often to get him away from his sad life in a city that still had little tolerance. My mom loved him! He always had time for us kids too.
Even though my dad was bought up in a time of extreme prejudice against gays he would have no part of it.
I am grateful for my dad's attitude. We kids are all hetro, but none of us care what anyone's sexuality is.
if everyone could just be comfortable with who they are, and not worry so much about who everyone else is...
That's a good point Justine76. Being comfortable with oneself, why care or be concerned with other peoples sexuality? I don't really get it.
When I do talk with my homosexual friends about their lives I see they have exactly the same stuff going on in their lives as I have. Relationships with family, friends and associates, bills to pay, often problems with their children etc.
I have seen that travel and social intercourse allow us to see through many stereotypes if we have an open mind to learning and are "grown ups" morally.
Ive had a few very very very good "gay" friends. They are just people. They want to be loved. I have never once had someone try to "convert" me. Becuase to be "converted" would mean its a choice. They did not care what I did in bed, and had no desire to tell me what they did. I have however, been raped by a nice christain straight boy.
so sorry to hear that, Justine. But, they are the ones, aren't they?
Yeah man, I can really dig that part, I've had a few really good gay friends, and they love what I do...ballet, theatre,...the arts...
You're the best, my friend,..my attitude, exactly..
Oh yeah, there were these two that worked in the Customer Service Center in an office where I worked. They were both sooo good looking, but, they only had eyes for each other. This was about 12 years ago. I would say they were stereotypical...kinda feminine in their speech and mannerisms. When they broke up, one left the company and the other was sad for the longest time - I believe he ended up leaving before finding another bf.

What makes us humans crave to have just one partner for life?I just read an article about those who have open marriages and the beliefs about them and I got to thinking. What is it that we are really craving by being with just one person forever? Not saying I agree or disagree with open marriages....

Would you disown your child for being gay?

I've been very hurt by the many things people have said to me and I was getting really tired of the ridiculous excuses. And I know it says ten reasons but I could only figure out five, sorry1.) Unlike many straight homophobic people, the LGBT society has not tried to interfere in the Heterosexual...

is it still rape when you can't remember because alcohol is involved?if you wake up from a night of partying, hungover, realize that your clothes have been removed, there's another naked person besides you, and you don't know what happened?! (my friend describing her experiences after a night of...

Can a gay man be attracted to a specific girl, but not women in general, and still be gay, not bi?As a writer, i'm wondering if it's possible for a gay or straight character to be attracted to a person of the gender that opposes their typical sexuality? Like, a gay person to be in love with a...

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it's made in the 80's and in the end, the girl who had killed everyone at the camp was actually a boy. Her (his) aunt had dressed him like a girl but no one knew of it until the end when they show his junk! Anyone know the name of this...
