Surprised no one else has reported this guessing it's a temporary glitch and would normally have posted this except nobody else seems to have noticed and are posting hubs etc which seems wierd. I am not seeing any files from z.hubpages.com in any browser (images and css), guess there's a server down!

This is most likely related to the DNS problem we had on Sunday morning.  DNS is the service that translates a domain address (like z.hubpages.com) into a numeric ip address, which can then be located on the internet.  When bad DNS data gets into the wild, it can take a while to clear up because the mapping between an address and an ip address can be cached for a configurable amount of time (called the TTL), typically 24-48 hours.  I think if you just wait a little longer, the problem will clear itself up.

I believe they loved the movie 'Sholay'  and many songs of that period. I had many friends in the undivided USSR. I still read publications(most of them very old translations) from Progress. smile

I still have many friends in many now independent countries - and keep making them, cause I usually go there a couple of times a year doing some consultancy work for the World Bank...

Actually, I don't really remember what movie(s) were there, but I just recalled the actor - Radge Kapour (not sure about spelling). He was insanely popular among Soviet women smile

Oh, and did we manage to successfully high-jack this thread after Mark's failed attempt? big_smile

Nice Mishka pic you have smile

Yeah, it was Raj Kapoor. And I recalled the movie actually, and looked it up - it is Awaara. I think there were many more later, but this was probably the first one and made the most impact smile

And how do you type in Russian? Do you have russian keyboard installed?

Никакой Миша, я не имею российской клавиатуры. Я работаю вокруг этого!

I hope I got this right(What I meant to say is that No Mishka, I don't have a Russian keyboard. I work around it! ) smile

  11. Misha profile image63
    Mishaposted 15 years ago

While not perfect Russian, this was absolutely understandable smile

    I would have said:

Нет Миша, у меня нет русской клавиатуры. Я так обхожусь!

Så, tar vi den här tråd i anandra ritkning, då?

    Vad talar ni för språk?

    Jag har kapat tråden igen!

P.S. Of course, this hijacking attempt will fail dismally if the one other person I know of who speaks Swedish doesn't read this ... so, the gist of it is "What languages do you all speak?"
