RESOLVED: Images not loading correctly

    Hi, I've just been looking through some of my hubs and there's at least one image on each one that doesn't load correctly and I get the "x".

    I have tried clearing browser history settings, but it still shows these images not loading.

    For example, check out my hub on Shamrock Polymer Clay Necklaces. The image with the caption "A design like this..." is not loading.

    Am concerned it could be a virus on my computer or a HP problem. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Also, when I go to upload a photo, it is not loading the photo correctly. Instead of the loaded photo, I get a mini size jpg icon.

    Any help appreciated...

      Suzanne, I looked at this hub and was able to see all of the images, including the one you specified.

      The servers were really, really slow yesterday – uploading all the new content from Squidoo, I imagine.

      Suzanne, I looked at all of the photos on that Hub and the one that you mentioned showed fine. they all showed in the slideshow. On the regular site there was another one which did not show, "Polymer clay that is pliable and ready to use."

      Are you still having issues viewing some images in your Hubs after clearing your browser cache and restarting?

        Thank you Matthew. I followed your instructions by restarting my computer and clearing browser history - using Chrome. I made sure to tick all of the boxes (I usually only tick some and retain passwords etc).

        After doing that, the pics are displaying OK now. So it looks like it was a funny buggy thing with my computer. I know yesterday I was running some virusware (which found nothing) but also did Acronis Recovery backup and maybe it didn't like it.

            I'm glad all these people responded quickly and I'm especially glad it appears to be a bug and not a large, unwelcome computer virus!

    hi Suzanne, I checked your hub on polymer clay necklaces. The image with the caption "a design like this" is not there as you said.(.just the little picture didn't load image). If this is happen on more of your hubs there is obviously a problem, but I don't know what.

        Hi WF, thanks for that. When I first checked your link, nothing appeared in your link. But after following the instructions from Matthew, everything is now working fine and I can see the pic in the link you've posted.

        I was using Safari on an IPad Writer Fox. Didn't check on the computer and Chrome.

      Hi Jodah, sounds like you have a similar problem to me. Try restarting computer then clear all browser history with all boxes ticked.

    I had this happen yesterday on one of my quilt hubs, but when I went back a few minutes later to check it, the image was back.  Have not experienced it today.

    Thank you to everyone who replied. The problem was fixed by restarting the computer and clearing the browser history with all boxes ticked in Chrome (when you go to clear the history).

    I'd cleared the browser history yesterday and it still hadn't fixed, so restarting the computer for some reason, then clearing browser history solved the problem.
