I just came off a great walk (5 miles)with my two girls and while walking home we talked about our bike run we'll take later this evening (10 miles) We just love it, I get so high from biking and walking I can't get enough.
Got me thinking what do hubbers prefer biking, walking or just flat out to lazy for either.
It's great and easy to learn but hey it's not for everybody. My three brothers got me hooked early, it was a great way for me, the baby, to keep up with them
I got my first bike last year. I have fallen down alot and crashed into all kinds of things. People dont understand that if youve never had one, its really NOT "just like riding a bike"...I think eveyrone forgets how hard it was to learn as a child by the time the grow up. Or else eveyrone I know is very unpatient? I WILL learn tho!! As soon as my daughter gives my bike back.
I understand, it's like learning a different language, it's easiest when young. I have a friend who can't ride a bike, she can't get her balance. Keep trying and one day you'll get it and LOVE IT! ;D ;D ;D
Lazy. But then my kids prefer biking (or rather following on a trailer bike), so I don't have much choice
but after biking you get to take a nap
Aw you go there Misha.... smile a little while you ride, you'll like it better
At times I like to be lazy.
At times I go for walks, even long ones.
At times I would go for bike rides, but do not own a bike presently, but when I did, I enjoyed to ride.
I love to ride my bike. Oldest kids school is just over a mile away - my kids are 3 & 5 - walking them takes forever, biking is out of the question while they are both small. I am hoping by start of next school year oldest one can ride without stabilizers so we can go through fields and safe pathways, and younger one can sit on cross-bar seat. Until then we have been making good use of scooters - but again very very slow. I really should have realized I did not have the patience to be a mother, BEFORE I had kids
walk and bike, I just learned how to bike recently as when we were growing up my father wont let us go biking with my sister, (tied to virginity), its crazy but I am enjoying it now!

I just had my bike tuned up and went out for a ride yesterday. The bike felt like it was new. It was my first time on it in awhile, so I only want a few miles. The feel of the wind on my face was great and I vowed to get on the bike everyday to get back in shape and lose some...

Why does riding a bike or moped get looked down on in much of the USA?I live in southern USA, and it seems that here there is a negative view of people who ride bikes or mopeds or even walk to get where they need to go. It is seen by many as being poor or low class. Isn't riding bikes or mopeds a...

How many of you are bikers? What do you ride? For work or for pleasure?I have a Yamaha 250SR; a beautiful, old, dark red bike that I ride only when the weather is fine, for pure enjoyment and on the quiet peaceful roads of Somerset. Do you ride your bike to work? Do you ride in...
