         OK 1. you rock cause doing it on your own will always give you the confidence your work was good enough, your lyrics, your sound, the pkg.  I swear I hope that link is to your song

         2  my brother whom you can figure out by my last name, is a drummer, starved forever in Hollywood all of that, now he known worldwide for his many talents including helping new artists for free and produces bla bla
         
         ixxy he was identical to you but nobody's interested in the indy scene except the men that truly give a shit about the music but my point being even with a fan base there is not enough reps for labels
         
         My partners sister tours under her own label on her 6th album but has the husband that supports this and although she writes and sings folk, she's getting there, but like you shares the integrity, I'll shut up soon,  David getting into Interscope through another famous musician is ridiculous, but all 3 are in AA and had another common interest,  Make no mistake he had to have the talent - and big time=also pay his dues and he did.  Truthfully Ixxy although no matter how many albums he has sold worldwide, he still holds that privately as he is ashamed how he started but he has to remember he had to have the talent,
         
         I do prefer smaller labels and touring locally, something solid about feeling real.
         
         Still with so much talent out there, it boils down to who you know not what you can do = in the beginning, which is the hardest part as is the industry
         
         I adore your integrity mate and am going to listen right now

            The industry is hard. But you're right--local is real. And truthfully, in this day and age, with social networking--all you need is a niche of a few hundred to blow it up to a few thousand, then million.. ;D
