When you see someone with a large number of hubs, followers or accolades (or all of it), do you do the math? That is, do you divide their time here by your time here and then see if your followers, hubs or accolades are on track?
I know I do.. And some of 'em are hard to imagine.
The real question is are you REALLY doing the math correctly?
For example, if you are calculating my followers based on the fact I've been on the site for four years, you are doing inaccurate math. That feature didn't exist when HubPages first started. I've gotten those followers in the time after that feature was added, which is less than four years.
I’ve seen new folks who have been here 2 months and they have already racked up 300 followers; invariably these new folks are cuter than I am…
I will also look at it sometimes and think that people must not do anything else besides spend time on the computer.
