Sybil the movie ... with Sally Field? I have the DVD .... love it .... scary to think that someone could endure such a traumatic life. I liked the Sybil story even better than "the Three Faces of Eve" Did you see that one?

I recently commented on Sybil in a hub as well.  Amazing movie.  Sally Field was brilliant.

Sally Field was awesome in this.  However, 3 faces of Eve was more haunting to me.  I was much younger (actually I think around 12) and it was in black and white and sooooo unsettling.

I can't believe my mom let me watch it!

I've watched the Three Faces of Eve a few times - Joanne Woodward does a great job. But if you want to experience something haunting, then read "When Rabbit Howls"  - absolutely chilling book about the multiple personalities (troops) residing in the mind of Truddi Chase. She made an appearance on Oprah years ago. Book details will freeze your blood.
