I wonder why there are so many people in the "Religion & Beliefs" forums! Most of them are just busy to advocate their opinions irrespective of either being a believer or a non-believer or whatever. They are just busy in arguments over the most futile things in life. Is this an indicator why common people are known as 'common people' with less intellect, more talks and less action?
Questions about identity -- where did we originate is important because it is the fundamental basis of who we are.
Having a religion or not having a religion plays an important part in the direction of our lives.
We are self centered and egoistic individuals, we tend to believe that what we believe in is the right one...We lack respect to others belief, that is why we tend to impose our belief system to others..
And so both sides tend to gang up on each other and tend to change each other..
Yes, you said right. But there are so much to talk about in life and HP is a great place to find the right person. When I see so many people here are highly intellectually designed I regret if I could have a face to face chat with them in a regular basis! That would be great to enrich myself, you know... I'm not just that skilled to chat in the cyberspace! Sometimes it becomes painful to me to see people are just engaged in establishing their egos over others! Can you tell me why we are so egoistic that we sometimes tend to forget that we are so fortunate by being born as human beings?
Dont think to hard on it. People just like to debate.
I was wondering that as well, and also at the same time realized (suddenly) that actually you can talk just about anything here on hubpages, it seems to be just like a regular forum you can find out there, only everyone here is an author with some hubs published. Didn't know that before, thought I had to ask only serious and hub related questions
Me too, really! But then don't you think we should not engage ourselves in too many dumb topics? You see how the true spirit of such a great place like our HP forums is being misused and sometimes abused! Are there any ways to stop this kind of activities like banning too much participation in dumb topics? Or do you think public forums like this shouldn't be controlled?
Personally I'd prefer HP is the place for more unique talk (like what I felt before), not the way I found out these couple of days, seems there's so much watery topics and they are coming every few seconds along with topics that we hubbers would prefer more. Seems like I can post something like "had hard time sleeping last night" after I'm done writing here. That is just so boring and meaningless to talk about here. No offense, please!
Its a exercise in futility. Beating a dead horse. Tic Tac Toe .
God ideas are suppose to be exchanged in a civil matter not debated . I love all god ideas.
Andy thats a slippery slope .Arguing and belittling of others ideas on this topic should be discouraged by the civil participants.
No matter where you go people are fighting about their beliefs. Why there are so many people posting to religion forums. Is simple , there are a ton of self righteous people out there that love to argue about something that cant be proven or dis proven.
Ask them nicely?
Ive tried to put forum questions up on many different topics they mostly fade away.
Sensationalism is the thing these days .
reality shows and train wrecks.

I have noticed that an increasing number of people seem to have joined this site merely to spam religion on the forum. This would be okay if it was not for the fact that this is a forum for writers, not theists.I am all...

There are some troubled men who regularly use forums, and they have not a single hub in their profiles. How come? How is it allowed? I do not get it--- Is HubPages a chat-website?

I was just looking at the titles of the threads for the forums and was immediately struck by the large number of religious topics, many of which have God in the title. I am just wondering why there are so many religious...

With all the back and forth on these religion forums, I was just wondering has there been even one person, who has been convinced otherwise from their original beliefs. The atheists say one thing the theists say...

Is it all to do with forum politics? The reason for Cosette leaving has just been made clear to me on the 'Pedantic Hubpages' blog post. I am somewhat dissapointed with the result of that, much more dissapointed to lose...

I started a comment in the "Does God Exist" thread and it led to this:In the forums many people who say they are atheists or non-believers in God say things like:"if you were to compliment a religious...
