I only have 11 hubs and have not been all that active since I joined back in June. I have never checked my earnings because I always assumed I didn't have any. Well, on a lark, I checked and in October I made $6.87 between Adsense and Amazon. I know for you high producers that amount is not a big deal, but I am pleasantly surprised! I'm writing my hubs strictly for fun (I write for Demand Media to earn a little bit of regular income). So to get paid even just a tiny bit for writing for pleasure is great!

If you write for yourself, and your audience, then you will do far better than if you were to write strictly for profit.

That is reflected heavily in your content.

Small potatoes can grow into large potatoes. Potatoes are edible, lol.

So what ya gonna do now?

Maybe I'll make some potato salad. But what I really need to do is finish the 5 or 6 hubs I started months ago, then write some more hubs from start to finish.

Congratulations If you can track down the hubs that got you the money you could write something along the same lines and double your income. You have encouraged me to write 2 more hubs. I currently have 9. Did you do it without keywords?

Well, I'm not really sure how I did it, lol. I do have keywords, though. A nice lady hubber out of Australia advised me to add as many relevant keywords as possible to each article, so I went back and did that. Then I read a hub that advised hubbers to write a good summary for each article, so I went back and did that also. (I wish I could remember that hub's author/title, because I'd like to thank the author and recommend the hub.) Maybe someone here knows the one I'm talking about? Other than that I put Amazon and Adsense ads in each hub. I haven't done much. I don't have any backlinks that I know of.

Thanks everyone for your congratulations and encouragement. This is such a nice community. I would love to see the $$ multiply. I need to add more hubs if I want to earn more $$, and in order to do that I need to get busy!

Congratulations on earning.  Like you I am not that active even though I have been here for some time now, and it is really nice when you check your earnings to see that you have made a little.  I think I am now at £9 something or other.

Well done again and keep going.

    Congratulations!

That's how I started and the great thing is - when you're not writing for the money, you write more and often earn more.
