Can I ask why the thread http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/58726 was closed? My concern is that one participant has made completely unfounded and misleading claims and the opportunity to make corrections has been removed.
I understand that the person in question was rather arrogant and childish and displayed little understanding of the subject matter, however, to leave his claims unanswered isn't the best solution in my opinion.
if i had to take a wild guess, from what i read, tylerdurden wasn't exactly friendly to a lot of hubbers trying to help him, and it looked like he got into a conflict with them; which leads me to believe they might've reported him. not that im saying that's the case, but i wouldn't be surprised.
Closing a thread is a call by admin, and their tendency is to not discuss the specifics unless you were one of the parties directly involved in the why.
There are people thinking they know their stuff and they are called experts and quite rightly so, but Tyler came across as a right git and quite smug too when he had no right to be.....
But posters like that do amuse!

Seems like there are a noticeable number of forum threads closed to reply. Veteran hubbers, are the current numbers typical? Some threads I assume get closed to reply because the topic is controversial or inflammatory, but it seems that other similar threads remain open. Some...

Earlier this morning I created a thread on the Hub Makeover forum, because I had emailed Team HubPages and hadn't had a response. Jason eventually responded and told me what I already knew, that the Hub had triggered the Affiliate link rule because of my RSS feed (to my own blog). Then...

I just noticed that Matthew replied to a question from a Hubber and immediately closed the threadThere used to be an unspoken policy on the forums - a thread was only closed if things got too heated and unpleasant. I hope that policy is not going to change, for several reasons. For one thing,...

I went to reply to a post in this thread and saw that it had been closed to reply and I was curious as to why it has been closed. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/90745
