In order to stop bothering my non-hub-pages friends with contant spam about my new hubs I told them to subscribe to the RSS feed by pressing the feed button, but - according to feedback I've been getting - this hasn't worked. Have I missed something out? Is there something I'm supposed to do to make it active?
If you are pulling a HubPages RSS feed into a feed reader, you may need to add ?rss to the end of your profile URL, or the tag feed URL.
Full details about how (and where to get all the different RSS feeds of your Hubs) in the Hub referenced in the sticky thread:

I read your wonderful hub on rss feeds and thought it was so simple
I have added rss to yahoo and google with help from hubbers. BUT
when I click on my rss feed or anyones rss feed button all I get is
Internet explorer cannot download etc etc so I click ok and both windows dissappear.
What am I doing wrong.
HELP
Actyually I just went to your hub inspire and clicked on your RSS subscribe button. And the same thing happens. I thought it was just something that lil ol me could not understand.
Hope this makes sense to everyone out there
Sorry, Eileen, it sounds like a browser problem, and I use Firefox, not IE.
Are you emotionally attached to IE?
HubPages recommends using Firefox, and you can download it for free.
Jenny
Jenny, not really but I do not want to download any more stuff onto my laptop at this stage. Isnt there something that I can do other than that.
Is anyone else having this problem
I just tried it using IE v7, and it worked fine - are you using the latest version of IE?
Jenny do not laugh, I cannot find which one it is . I went to properties and does not say.
At least I dont feel so useless. that it is not just me.
Thanks I just couldnt remember (old age brain goes blank)
Version 6.00
So need to update I suppose.
WHOOPPEEE!!! THANKS JENNY AND THRANAX. i DONT GET THAT MESSAGE ANYMORE.

For people who never use RSS feeds for any reason, I reckon it would be worth giving them the option of disabling the feature.RSS feeds make it too easy for content to be stolen.

Hey Staff,Please get your moderation team on the same page. I am beginning to get PISSED OFF at their incompetence.Last time I checked, RSS Feeds are allowed to be ON hubs and must be relevant to the HUB.I am getting sick and tired of moderators telling me to DELETE specific links inside RSS Feeds,...
