I have sold one item and made $0.75.  I am totally pumped since I am now over $6 for November and December.

Kidgas, I tend to think that if you're not doing well in Amazon, you're doing much better in adsense.  I think it all kind of evens out.

You are right that I am doing much better with AdSense.

I really need to learn how to work adsense in my favor. Am i doing something wrong?
Which is the best for adsense information hub or sales hub?

Normally a sales hub, but others will tell you any format works. However I find sales hubs work the best, both with Amazon and adsense. smile

My Amazon sucks. i have sold 4 items this month and made about $3

Well I see they just updated. I made it to 7%, don't think I will make the 7.5% however, that's a lot of items to sell. I sold 15 items yesterday.

Unlike many that say the items they sell have nothing to do with their articles, I find 85% of my sales are exactly what I am pushing.

However that may be because most are product pages on my own websites. Now I need to make higher priced item pages. big_smile

I was thinking of creating a mix of higher priced items (higher commissions) and lower priced items that people buy multiples of (higher quantity to push to higher commission rates)

I figure a combination of the two would be beneficial.

Have to say that my Amazon sales have really dropped away in the last two days - none yesterday and 1 the day before.

Also sold some strange stuff this month like pet odour eliminator - someone's going to have a great Christmas present!! LOL smile

My sales are a little slower the last few days....but I just noticed that I hit 8% for the first time ever. I probably wont do it again until next Christmas...but I'm excited!

Wow ! That is fantastic Wendy!

I hit 7.5% the day before yesterday for the first time. In fact last month was the first time I even reached 7%. What a ride!

I feel as if my Christmas is over now the sales are slowing right down sad
Well it actually is...but that's beside the point! lol

I know what you mean. I was enjoying the sales.

My sales have been real slow the past week. However I just made a new product page in one of my websites and see I had 3 sales from that.

That's cool because the items are between 100 to 500 bucks a pop! smile

I just checked yesterday and had 9 orders. someone went shopping on an information hub. I've gone over Nov. earnings this past week.

I hope everyone enjoys a peaceful holiday season.

My Amazon sales stopped dead several days ago, but then produced a single (I think) order for several items that immediately shipped and were priced at over $900 total and bumped me into the 6.5% range.  A nice addition to an already excellent month.

They have stopped again, though.  I'm wondering if I might see a few orders from after Christmas, spending Christmas money maybe.  It'll be interesting as it's my first Christmas on HP.

Well the after Christmas sales seem to have started. I got several mixed items sold yesterday. Toys, electronics, DVD's, all kinds of stuff.

Seems like items people are getting for themselves that they did not get as gifts. Hope it keeps going for a bit! smile

My best month on Amazon so far. Crossed $500 in commissions for the first time.

I am having my best month ever on Amazon. In addition to the obvious money, I'm very pleased with an 18.2% conversion rating for December, which shows my marketing and copy writing strategy is being very effective - they come, they buy.

Bill Manningposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Wow that's great. I can only do about 4% conversion. And most of those who buy on my sites are coming to a page with just the specific products.

Don't know how I can get my % up if they are not buying on a pure product page. Anyway glad your doing very well. smile

I've been reading up on consumer psychology and why people buy. You really need to make them feel that your site is the best on the planet at that Amazon is the best place to shop. They need to feel totally comfortable with you or they just browse and not buy. You have to work on an emotional connection or immediate need to buy.

That makes sense. All the more reason to have a site that people visit often and feel they can trust you. Thanks for the tip. smile

I agree with everything Nelle has said, and I'm enjoying a 14%+ conversion rate at Amazon. Just for the record, you can achieve that emotional connection and/or satisfy that immediate need to buy with a single hub.

Great job to both you and Nelle.  My conversion rate is up quite a bit, was up to 14% earlier in the month, now has dropped to 8%, but I am quite pleased.  My best month ever on Amazon, and so far I am getting close to $400.  I have learned a lot this year, and will definitely work to improve over the months next year.

Glad to hear that things are moving lrohner and lakeerieartists! Yes lrohner I agree that that connection can be made quickly. In fact I would argue that that's one of the major goals of good marketing copy. You get maybe 200 or 300 words max to do it.
