My 7-year-old grandson and his dad fished for about 2 hours today and caught 30 largemouth bass! Five weighed between 8 and 10 pounds, and the smallest ones weighed 2-3 pounds. The rest weighed 5-6 pounds. Best of all, they have the pics to prove it! I've never seen a kid so obsessed with fishing as my Jonathan!
I'm a fisherman!
Large mouth bass that big would be amazing catches for anyone!
No wonder your grandson is a fishing "nut.!"
I hope he doesn't lose interest.
I was a "free diver" when I was much younger.
When I quit that I became a fisherman.
I hope ya teach your grandson to "catch-and-release."
The "big ones" are the breeders.
Have fun you guys!
Hi, Qwark. All 30 bass were released. They're taking Jonathan back to the same place to fish in January, and if he catches another big one, they might have it mounted for his birthday present. Some of the bass really need to be removed from that pond.
Sounds great habee! My 5 yr old caught his first one w/ his Grandad this summer, and they had so much fun.

I once caught a fishing pole off a pier in Florida! What is the strangest thing you've caught...fishing?

What's the most anyone has ever weighed in recorded history?
