how do i back-links, I have just been hearing of back-links and I dont really know what it means and how to get about it, please help me, am in a dire strait.
yes, backlinks are quite important for websites. I´m not that sure if its even important for hubpages. But to get them is a great job to do. Because you don´t need just a few. You need thousands of them. For a few hundreds you can use this software: http://www.webmasterdeck.com/tools/wsbacklinker/
For more than this you probably need to use a professional service. But also check out my new hub. Its probably helpful.
Using that service does not sound like a good idea. When many backlinks appear at once it's unnatural and Google might penalize the ranking of your hub because of that.
Yeah, using backlink software may actually be against HP's TOS because blogs and other sites where the software is posting the backlinks can consider the links spam. The link below gives a guide to backlinking etiquette. The article actually says that automated software causes most of the problems when it comes to backlinking.

There is a section in the Learning Center (look down at the bottom of this page) that deals with all this.
