I've tried multiple pictures and have checked all the properties for each one. They all meet the requirements so, I don't understand what the problem is.
I'm new here, but I noticed when I was trying to upload pix I didn't give it enough time. There is a blue line that has to fill before your picture is downloaded.
The problem could be the browser you're using. IE doesn't work well, but Hubpages staff is working on it.
Firefox and Chrome are best suited for Hubpages. If your browser isn't the problem, then I would suggest you email Team@Hubpages.com and explain to them.
Btw- Welcome to Hubpages.
