    Hello,
I am a newbie and I am looking for some feed back, especially from hubbers who have been here awhile. Hope I'm on the right track.

    Thank you.
Here is my very first hub ever smile

Not a bad Hub, but I don't really believe you will sell very much oil or other products found easily at the local gas station or WalMart.  Try to advertise items people won't mind waiting a few days for.

You'll soon get the knack of what does or doesn't sell on your Hubs.  smile  Welcome to HP!

Thank you for the feedback. Any specific product suggestions?

I try to offer something related to the Hub but will catch the eye as being unusual or new to get the visitors to enter "The Amazon Zone."  Then what ever they buy gets you the bucks.  Just one of the methods which seems to work okay for me.  Good luck! smile

First off - welcome to Hubpages smile

Second - great first hub, top effort, more!

Last - lose the first picture - kill it or insert it next to the text capsule that is free of product links. That way the ad block that's below the halfway mark will float up and to right of the first text block - which is exactly where it needs to be.

You look like you've either read the instruction manual or have an idea of what you're doing smile

I think the amazon capsule should be placed in the middle of the hub.

There should be an Amazon capsule everywhere you scroll on the page.

Don't be disappointed if your hubs do not get the feedback you had hoped for.  I have been on here a couple of weeks, and really wanted feedback to hubs I had put a lot of effort into, and was disappointed when it was not forthcoming.  Now, I write for the enjoyment of it and realise that if the hubs do not connect with people, this does not make them worthless.  Simply that not everyone is interested in the same things.  So enjoy your writing for its own sake.

Muldanian I'm sorry if you missed out on constructive feedback. I must have missed you - sometimes we do hmm

If you want any direction, ask me directly and I'll give it. And welcome to hubpages smile

Hmmmmm lol ok - now go back (again!) and write another 100 words or so in the top text capsule - then create three small paragraphs from the text. You need the extra words to create enough space for the ad block to float next to it.

Didn't note how many words were there in the first place :smile

Great hubs! Keep it up - you'll get ad revenue in no time (I'm new to this game and I've gathered enough Adsense for a cup of coffee, so earning money is possible)!

Haven't applied for Adsense yet. Afraid of rejection. I read so much about many people being denied. I think I will wait a few months and build 100 hubs first. Thanks for the feedback.

I applied and was accepted right away, though I am in the United States (people from Asia often have to wait a minimum of six months prior to getting approved for an adsense account). I hope you get to your 100 hub goal quickly, and good luck with hubpages!

For future reference, all posts asking for people to help with criticism of hubs should be posted in the Extreme Hub Makeover forum. Otherwise they will delete your links.

By the way, they both look good to me. Maybe adding a video showing someone brushing a dogs teeth would add to it. You can always find a video that fits your hub at YouTube I find smile
