Yup, since they opened the new bypass, just off the A30 before the petrol station, the traffic through the village has virtually disappeared.
I'm a bit worried for Mrs. Miggins Pie, Pornography and Adsense shop because she hardly has any visitors at all now.
Just a few poor locals visit, and once they start using the new road as well she's finished.
Still Paul the local councillor says it will all be OK, they are planning to open up a path across the field - so if anyone breaks down and stops in the layby they might visit the Wishing Well and deposit a few coppers.
Creative way to describe this dry spell, haha. I hope something changes... as for now, you have a new follower
Oh, er, well, thanks essiheart. This was actually a free post not one of those big yourself up and flog your latest hub ones. Athough I have written a hub of course. Don't hold out much hope because I'm not directly related to Matt Cults.
Well it might help, and if we put up a few misleading road signs - Nirvana this way - that sort of thing. I mean once the visitors arrive they'll probably want to buy something.
It looks to me that Google traffic is about 50% of what it was here at my HP pages.
I'm still thinking that HP can fix this quickly if they know what it is they need to fix.
Is that the hold up? Is that why no communication since Friday - because they really don't know how this is all going to shake out?
I personally think it would be smart to say that if that is the reason. Simply - "We are still evaluating the changes and determining the best course of action".
Heck, say it even if it isn't true
No asphalt needed. What you need is to have a chat with the new road owner. Back up a great big dumper truck filled wioth crap, deposit it on the road. Then stick a flag in it and sign post entitled 'Cure for cancer, anxiety and obesity this way' - point to your pie shop - richest chuffing pie shop owner the world has ever seen
This is becoming slightly bizarre, but it's good to see the word chuffing.
Never heard that one. I have only ever heard chuffin' - prolly me.
who needs a road? you need railway line for your choo choo
Sorry to hear about your traffic. My traffic has began it's upward trend. It appears that my hubs have bottomed out for traffic, because I have a great deal of red arrows on my hubs. Thus, my traffic is increasing as I post this and today it's been higher than the last 4 days.
Good luck with your hubs.
My hubs are also slowly starting to get back some traffic. The red arrows don't mean much at this stage as working from a very low base they should be going up - even if only by 10%.
I have settled into the new normal. Pretty much exactly 50% down. No upswing, no downswing... Not really any change at all.
On the bonus side, I just sold my first Amazon thingie for a week.
Sigh.

Traffic diminshed to virtually nothingAnyone else have this problem? Over the last 2 days my traffic has diminished to virtually nothing and is still decreasing. A glitch with the counter again perhaps? I'm expecting to see 0 page-views over the weekend, even though one of my hubs...

Some of you may remember some of the things I said about Hubpages and their strongarm tactics following their huge drop in traffic after Panda last year.I also don't like to pull punches or say something I don't mean. So that's why I'm posting this.I still stand by my opinion that Hubpage's...

This drop in traffic seems to have affected the majority of us who transitioned here from Squidoo. After we updated our articles are traffic virtually stopped dead. The question is why? Was our redirect from Squidoo killed with the update? What the heck happened? Please try to figure out why the...

This was supposed to help give us a boost overall, right?Well, my traffic has fallen ever since the change and I just had the first sub $1 day through the HubPages Ad program that I've seen in a LONG time...And I'm not even sure if I'll make the $50 payout this month, but yet I've ALWAYS made the...

There are some original hubbers/writers, who have made many comments/complaints that their revenue has dropped substantially compared to when they first started, alongside the fact that they are finding it harder to get their articles published on HB. It would be interesting to know if in fact,it is...
