Traffic virtually down to nothing

Yup, since they opened the new bypass, just off the A30 before the petrol station, the traffic through the village has virtually disappeared.

I'm a bit worried for Mrs. Miggins Pie, Pornography and Adsense shop because she hardly has any visitors at all now.

Just a few poor locals visit, and once they start using the new road as well she's finished.

Still Paul the local councillor says it will all be OK, they are planning to open up a path across the field - so if anyone breaks down and stops in the layby they might visit the Wishing Well and deposit a few coppers.

Creative way to describe this dry spell, haha. I hope something changes... as for now, you have a new follower smile

Oh, er, well, thanks essiheart.  This  was actually a free post not one of those big yourself up and flog your latest hub ones.  Athough I have written a hub of course.  Don't hold out much hope because I'm not directly related to Matt Cults.

Well it might help, and if we put up a few misleading road signs - Nirvana this way - that sort of thing.  I mean once the visitors arrive they'll probably want to buy something.

It looks to me that Google traffic is about 50% of what it was here at my HP pages.

I'm still thinking that HP can fix this quickly if they know what it is they need to fix.

Is that the hold up? Is that why no communication since Friday - because they really don't know how this is all going to shake out?

I personally think it would be smart to say that if that is the reason.  Simply - "We are still evaluating the changes and determining the best course of action".

Heck, say it even if it isn't true smile

No asphalt needed. What you need is to have a chat with the new road owner. Back up a great big dumper truck filled wioth crap, deposit it on the road. Then stick a flag in it and sign post entitled 'Cure for cancer, anxiety and obesity this way' - point to your pie shop - richest chuffing pie shop owner the world has ever seen smile

This is becoming slightly bizarre, but it's good to see the word chuffing.

Sorry to hear about your traffic. My traffic has began it's upward trend. It appears that my hubs have bottomed out for traffic, because I have a great deal of red arrows on my hubs. Thus, my traffic is increasing as I post this and today it's been higher than the last 4 days. wink

Good luck with your hubs. smile

What's your secret, Cagsil? Everyone else has suffered a traffic loss!

My hubs are also slowly starting to get back some traffic. The red arrows don't mean much at this stage as working from a very low base they should be going up - even if only by 10%. smile

Yeah, going from 2 to 3 views produces a red arrow, lol lol

      I'm still down 35% overall.

I have settled into the new normal. Pretty much exactly 50%  down. No upswing, no downswing... Not really any change at all.

On the bonus side, I just sold my first Amazon thingie for a week.

    Sigh.
