Did I imagine this or is this for real:
A new Hub Contest: "So You Think You Can Write..."
Oh De Lally
James.
I highly recommend you set that to music and write a hub about it. Should be a winner.
I highly recommend that you help him. Turn up the color and get it on Broadway. Great show name ... *insert famous cabaret name* stars in Oh De Lally
Oh gawd. I seriously think you're on to something, Frog.
That means I have to go back to work?!
I thought this was James' problem not mine!
You guys got together yet? Written the synopsis or whutever you call these things?
*singing* I'm sat, ma happy feet needing to move to the beat, move to the rhythm of something neat, something cool and real unique, something new that'll make me freak ...... ohhhhhhhh de lally!
Oh wow. I just saw the link (just logged on today.) Guess I better get into keyword research mode!
Sounds like a plan! Gives us plenty of time to get things together and write some really awesome articles. It's a go!
I don't think James is promoting it girls, rather I think he's feeling *meh* about it.
fd,
Wish I was promoting it!
Unfortunately StumbleUpon beat me to it. {{ wink wink }}
But if I'm correct, the topic is open, so long as it meets the guidelines. Which sounds like a ton of fun.
James.
Ahhh well better luck next time James. You know what they say about the early bird.
It's toast for cats
I thought this thread was another of those never ending "post a poem" threads or something. So here's a poem,
Today the man comes out to play
whenever I hit the hay
Why doesn't he come when I call
Instead of going out to play ball?
Is it true that many couples do
have a necessary "mood" to fulfill?
What happened to
I'll do you I will
whenever you ask me to?
I don't think I am an amazing writer in terms of grammar but I think I am quite good at explaining things and describing things metaphorically. I've been told by friends that they were shocked at my vocabulary and they didn't know I was that intelligent(probably because I'm quiet)
I was just thinking that no matter how many hubs I write I can never quench that thirst to achieve more!
Writing is exciting, but after me being here several months and not earning an income like many do, it's a (little) discouraging. But that's why I have another acct where I strictly write for fun such as poetry.
As to why I'm not making money...well maybe I'm not crazy about working at adsense but to be a good writer, as you say, I believe just the practice of writing here on HP is a start for a writing career, don't you think?
I think that is fine. I joined this site to improve my writing and it has, earning money is just a nice bonus.
HP is a great platform for practice, as long as its quality!
What makes good quality? talent, effort and research?
I am not good enough at SEO, etc to write an article about it.
lol
I know some things I am (supposed ) to do but as of lately
I haven't done even keywords ....so It's stricly for fun as of now!!
I am sorry but Can anyone explain what we have to write for the contest? I mean I am still a bit confused as to what the topics are all about.
Digging deep into the chasm of my brain now to try and find an original, unique article that relates to writing online that doesn't exist anywhere else on the Internet.
Gee, that should be easy, not.
For the record, the contest has no topic - entries on any subject will be accepted
We're just looking for the best online article... on anything!
If I am understanding this right from the blog >>
http://blog.hubpages.com/2011/03/writing-contest/
then we can post on any topic not just online writing as long as it focuses on quality, seo, long tail keywords, etc. and has the tag writingcontest in it.
Someone correct me if I am wrong!

Been here about a week ..wrote 4 hubs .. havent done any promotion type activities yet because im still learning about that .. and of course i've learned by observation, that when we first write a hub we get this hit of traffic .. like ive never seen before .. 80, 100 ,200 visits ..and im...

When I joined here a couple weeks ago I thought I could write hubs that others may benefit from and I in turn could read others interesting hubs. I guess I was naive as it seems no one will read my hubs unless I spend a lot of time promoting them, which requires first learning how to...

I suppose with just a few keywords and a search friendly title. The image that pops in my head is of a store in an obscure spot that no one ever hears about. Word has to get out somehow. But can you do that without ever posting a link anywhere? Is it possible it can just get crawled and indexed,...

I am just a little curious about how much time people normally spend posting backlinks to their hubs before they actually write another one. Any advice or input will be very helpful. Also, how many hubs do you normally write a month - Just curious Thank You!

Promoting a hub is a difficult task compared to writing a hub. Agree or disagree?
