Hi, I just got an email from someone asking if they could place a link to one of my hubs, they never said which one yet, and how much do they need to pay me. As I have absolutely no idea, can anyone give me an estimate please? Thanks

Why would you charge someone for linking to your article? hmm

Sorry, I meant to say an outside link! he offered me money, and I have seen others on here talking about selling their links, otherwise I wouldn't have even thought of it. It just threw me a bit when they said how much did I want?

If it's just a link, Nelle, it seems like that could only help you.

TerryGl once wrote a hub about it. I tried to find it, but couldn't. You may want to contact him.

It is not a backlink to her hub she is asking about. The OP says that it is a link from her hub to an external website, an outbound link. A so-called "sponsored link."

How do you see it that way WE?

I've highlighted in bold what the OP says.

How is it a "sponsored link"?

I understood from the start what she meant. She meant "on" one of her hubs. I can see how her OP could be read the opposite way, but she has already clarified her position.

Maybe it is because I know instinctively that Nell Rose would never dream of charging anyone to link to her hubs, nor is it likely anyone would offer to pay for the opportunity.

Geez, I was slow on that one.  Now I get it.

Yeah, I have people paying me all the time to put links on my articles.  I let them go for four figures.  wink

If It's just a text link in your content I would say $20.00 for life. I have sold text links in my sidebars for $25.00 per year. Just a suggestion. smile

Hi, thanks for giving me an idea, I will wait and see when they get back to me exactly what and how many they want me to add. I am new to this sort of selling links so any help is great.

Just as an update, I was contacted today about putting a text link in one of my blog post.

They wanted me to make a new one. So for making a new post (around 300 words long) and putting their text link in the content I charged $27.00 one time fee.

    Just so you know. smile
