I had this notion that reading about the Google algo thing would help me clarify a few things. I was excited about the writing contest. I have topics researched and ready to go, but all the negative crude on here, the people moaning and groaning, and the ones that ask the same question over and over without searching out the answer first has disheartened me to no end. I don't know whether it is good to pick up my writing again and post it here, there, or nowhere.
No, don't say that Lynnechandler. Your one of the best writers on here. Why would you want to quit like this? Look, I understand if you feel this is something you have to do, but I know you'll definitely be missed by a lot of us here if you do leave.
What other people do is their concern. That does not detract from the fact that HP is a great platform, not only for publishing, but for its community.
Just write, let others take care of themselves
Okay, I went through this with your daughter and you were here encouraging her to stay, as were other people. And, now you're tell us that you're leaving the forums?
Yes, there are some rude people here, but there are also some very nice people here. Are you planning on dismissing the nice ones, just because you're irritated with those who are rude?
Makes no sense. So, I guess you have to stay.
This forum is a microcosm of life. If you can’t make it here, you can’t make it anywhere.
Hang in There!
Thanks guys but this is just depressing, do you not think?
I'm not leaving the site, not that at all, it's just the air in the forums is so desperate and depressing. I know things are bad, but honestly can't a silver lining be found somewhere?
Well I'm sure there is. if it makes you feel better, i know exactly how you feel. I still remember the days when forums used to be a fun place, where everyone was too caught up playing games and joking around with each other. Now, it seems most hubbers are primarily interested in posting to either debate topics or post to gain attention to their hubs.
However, I'm sure things will get better here soon...or at least, i hope so.
Well, we’ve been bombarded lately by bad things. So naturally that is what is talked about. Hopefully, the deluge is over and things will get back to the usual nonsense.
lynn, I was gone for a longtime but dont' let the negative get to you, just write. That is what I am getting back into doing. Please do not leave it is nice seeing you around here.
OK, folks. Let’s start a silver lining list.
1. Nobody here has been shot today.
So, ok, maybe I can't ban myself, , I seem to keep posting. Dang it. Gonna take a short break though, nice hot bath, wash the hair and come back refreshed so I can get some of these articles finished.
What did I tell you about that....you and daughter should be ashamed of yourself, getting a person's mind roaming off into multiple directions with statements, about a "hot bath".
Don't you know MEN think about sex too much already, and now you want to add to it?
Cags between you and Para I'm rolling on the floor over here.
Yeppers! Big ole grin on my face and I've just been typing away at a new article.

Well with that many people banned this morning, all productive and active Hubbers in the community, I might as well join them.Their posts that were reported, I don't lie, were not malicious in the slightest way.So that brings us to who's been hitting the report button so much? We all have our...

@HP Just wanted to say thanks. If anyone else has something positive to say about our adventures here, this is the place.

In our lovely forums, there is room for varied and interesting philosophical discourses. Sometimes, a few of us can go overboard in asserting our positions(including me, I am not entirely innocent of this). Each one of us are entitled to present our respective positions...

As the title says I have been thinking about hubpages and how it has gotten very boring. A lot of people have stopped coming to the forums and everything is now boring. It's mostly the religious trying to argue about their religion or shove their religion down other ppl's throats or those who just...
