Why is it that my unique hub on a topic that is the same exact topic as other hubs have be taken down while those others which are set up quite similarly to mine remain up?

I did actually check to see if there were other hubs on the topic before I posted mine to clarify if mine would be acceptable. There was so I created mine but with fresh info and its taken down in 2 days.. soo... what gives?

You can flag the other hubs if you think they are in non-compliance. Yours may have been flagged or randomly detected by moderators. Moderators cannot possibly see everything.

Another possibility is that yours may have been found to lack originality, given the other hubs on the topic.

There are plenty of factors that go into taking down hubs. I would suggest re-reading the FAQ's page and visiting the Learning Center.

It might also be helpful to re-read the TOS of Hubpages, so you are refreshed on the changes made.

    I hope that helps. smile

I doubt that your hub was taken down for the subject matter. As Cagsil said, you need to read the FAQs, TOS and go through the Learning Center. Pay particular attention to what HP calls "Overly Promotional" and the bit about "copied content." And until you do that, I would seriously reconsider wasting any more time publishing more hubs.

Read the content policies and TOS of both Hubpages and Google and ensure they are complied with

Hi, I also have the same issue.. I have a page I want to create about DETTERING people from smoking and it is constantly flagged down as a violation whereas other pages on the same topic, involving electronic cigarettes can stay up? It also says I have linked to a banned URL, what is the criteria for just banning URL's?

    Thanks

    Shannon

Sites that promote certain products or services are not allowed under Google AdSense guidelines, to which the HubPages TOS refer.

I don't even want to run adsense on it though?

There are situations where disabling ads on the hub in question will solve the problem. These are the borderline cases. There are other cases where HubPages will not allow it even with ads disabled, which has to do with them protecting their own AdSense account for the site as a whole.

On one of your hubs that is still up you have 50 tags.  I am surprised you have not been flagged for too many tags

If you mean me, I don't have a hub with more than 4 tags?

The OP has one hub with lots and lots of tags. I checked out your two hubs; found 3 and 4 tags, respectively.

It's fine I just wanted to clarify, I didn't want to be doing something wrong by mistake thats all.

Very observant of you to have noticed those tag issues. The OP may want to deal with that to get the author score up to normal levels.
