Only the Mum and Dad and brother and sister can go.

Seriously? That's awful...maybe its Royal snobbery? Maybe only enough seats for the Royal family...lol. Maybe they are afraid of letting unknown people go due to security risks, assassination etc....

The Royals do things their way. No dodgy relatives allowed. They have enough crazy relatives to deal with.

They may have enough crazy relatives to deal with, but that's no excuse to not allow most of the brides family members to go...You know if I was in Kate's position I'm so stubborn I'd cancel the damn thing because of that. Disrespectful it is...argggg.

I saw some of Kate's family and friends on TV ... the friends seemed okay, but the parents ... And they've been invited ...
May as well invite the rest.

There's more than 15 members of her family going, including a dodgy uncle. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic … loves.html

Doesn't seem a lot out of thousands of guests invited though, does it?

Wow, thanks Izzy the Mirror got it wrong. I am so glad to hear there is a dodgy uncle invited. Now it sounds like a fun do.

In the Daily Mirror's defence I think they were referring to the places in church.

      Well done Izzy

Especially that Parker-Bowles woman - almost as dodgy as his father.

And that Phillip, the one who's married to the Queen, is very suspect.

Philip? How on Earth did a post-War Britain take the Princess Elizabeth's marriage to a German whose relatives were members of Hitler's SS. None of his relatives were at the wedding. So it's common for Royalty to completely snub one side of the family at those occasions. Kate Middleton's family have done well in comparison with 15 invites.

            So, they're obviously loosening up.

William and Kate should do what I did - My ex-wife and I had a quickie wedding at Islington Register Office and told everyone afterwards. Some took umbridge, but, all in all, it saved a lot of problems with invites etc.

            Not surprised.

And they changed the name from Batenberg to Mountbatten, and told everyone he was Greek.

They're probably still offended by what Diana's brother said at the funeral.
