Youtube, Videos, and Slideshows on Hubpages--Need to Know How

   I have a request from a fellow hubber about putting my fabric and pattern and evetually my sewing on a Youtube, Video or Slideshow.  I hold them that I don't know how to do this and will ask it here....so I am asking it here.
   
   
   BTW that hub got only a 38 score when I first published it and by the rules here that would be a bad hub because I used photos and what they thought as copied from another site---nope these were my photos that I scanned into my hubpage for the express purpose of showing people/seamstresses-to-be on what they look like--so they would know.

      Let's start w/ the basics.  Have you made the video yet?  If so, is it with a video camera or using the video feature on a digital camera?

   Hi Lady G - There is a HubPages capsule for videos.  If you post your video on U-tube for example, then you simple put the URL into the capsule and it will appear in your hub.

   No see that is the problem.  I have no idea how to do a Youtube........
   Slideshow I think I can paly with it until I learn how to--Isn't there a Slidshow thing on hubpages?

   No there isn't - you'd have to create the slideshow as a video on UTube.

   I think she means she doesn't know how to do anything on youtube, yet.  She also stated that when she put her OWN personally taken photos on hubpages, she was admonished/accused/or whatever, of taking the photos from another site. 
   
   I am pretty new to hubpages, myself.  I was not automatically born with the understanding of How To Do all the things I need to understand and the instructions are written for people who have a great deal of knowledge about making photos and writing articles and computers and advertising stuf.  For those of us who need more instruction, we are asked to come to the forums and search through two-million words and hopefully, hopefully, someone will mention or even skim the idea that we need information about.
   
   Does anyone have that much time?  I work 3 jobs and do other things in life as well. In order for me to find out all the directions I need to become a successful hubber...I would have to spend the next 2 years just trying to play catch-up in the forums.
   
   Can you at least tell her how she goes about doing a video on YouTube, or at least point her in the correct direction.  Thanks =o[

   You are welcomed!  My heart goes out to you.  I have been trying to learn how to make a blog, create a web page, change .asf extentions to jpeg when I havent got a clue, What to do with the links they say I have for my hub pages, where I can advertise my hubs, etc...I know just how frustrating it can all be when you cannot find or understand the instructions.  Concepts USED to be my strong point..but I am lost in our fast moving technology. 
   
   Hope you find the answers and I hope I will find one in YOUR answer as well.   =o)

   Oh My--I really feel green and in being very new at all this video stuff.  Nope I don't even know if I can do a video on my digital cameral.  I have a polaroid if that helps in finding out what I can do with my camera!
   The song from The Sound of Music is ringing in my ears as I type--Do Re Mi!  Let's start at the very beginning...........

    They make Polaroid digital camers?  I had no idea.  We'll, you would have to look in the camera manual to see if it takes video.   I would guess it doesn't, but I don't really know.

    Not meaning to intrude but I have created quite a few YouTube slideshows and I thought that this YouTube might be the answer your query. I have no connection to this Youtube it is just one I found that I know will work. I checked it five minutes ago.
    
    Do a search at Youtube for this video - "Creating a photo slide show using Windows Movie Maker"
    
    Dont forget you will need an account at Youtube.
