When I log on , there are hubs posted there and I noticed
the author score and hubscore are not 100..so what makes them get on the front pages??
They write unique content which people search for.
so, because they have the highest visits or searches is why?
Come on now SFR nobody will ever fathom out the workings of hubpages.
Maybe they are good earners for hubpages?
Maybe they are just random choices?
Maybe they have good traffic figures?
The list could be endless. Are you asking because your's is not there?
Me was thinking the same...Of course I want mine there!
I've had a couple there in the past, and none of them have been highly trafficked - except from HP - nor high earners, so no idea.
All of them seem to have really great pictures plus something unique or unusual about them, i.e. about the topic. Could that be the winning combination?
If I ever get a hub on the first page I'll just see it as recognition of my unique writing because as Izzy said, it probably won't earn you a lot.
I had one hub that was 'liked' on Facebook the other day and started a Facebook viral traffic income, that was nice it had around 40 like's in 24 hours but then it kinda slowed down, someone 'cool' must of 'liked' it
that's interesting, I've never had "40" likes in 24 hours...yeah lol someone big, like I'm friends with Ernie boch Jr...if he liked it I'm sure I'd get alot of hits!
I received lots of traffic to my designer clothes for free hub and it was mostly social visitors.
The hubs posted in the 'hubs' pages has three categories:-
HOT
BEST
LATEST
Hub pages refreshes the sight every half hour. During the half hour the hubs that are the hottest, best and latest posts are on the first page in each category. If your hub is not on the first pages regardless of Hubscore then your hub is not in the top percentile of hottest hubs.
Similar to Hubs are the Hubbers. The hubbers who have the highest scores or hottest hubbers will be on first page. The HP indexing sometime show a mix of different scores but if you search long enough you will find your hub.

Many good quality pages are Idled (become unfeatured) via ‘Analysis of the how engaged readers are with a Hub over an extended period of time’ – essentially because they get low traffic. It appears that this process was initiated to reduce the number of ‘low quality’ pages on the site. The concept...

What is the relationship between a hub score and traffic to that hub?
by Sarah Spradlin 5 years ago
I've heard to disregard that but I'm still a little curious. Honestly I don't know how the score is even decided but those of you that have a lot of followers or have been able to make money, what is your average score per article?Thank you!

How does my hub gain in HubScore when it receives no page views?I have a relatively new Hub that I wrote which had an initial HubScore of 46. It has had only 13 page views since written, yet the HubScore has gone up though it has not been viewed since the day I wrote it.

Long, long ago, it was easy to write a hub. This is what I did:Spent two days producing 1500 words or so. Got the page about 80 percent right. Published it.After a couple of weeks, if the visitors started coming from the search engines, I would put in a few more hours editing and improving. The...
