Follow & Fan Mail Linked

   I am assuming this is a new feature added on just recently because I never remember it doing it before but anyways I have ended up with a lot of blank fan mail because the two are linked together someone wants to follow me and does not want to leave fan mail so they leave it blank and send it instead of exiting. This system could be better the way it is by just loading back to home or that persons profile after hitting follow. Also you could just separate the two functions completely making it easy and simple to understand. I have seen many profiles with blank fan mail recently and just gets a little tiring removing blank fan mail as a daily chore.

      I belive that this bug was introduced earlier in the week and that we fixed it just today.  Please let us know if you still see this going forward.

         I too have been receiving notices that a new follower has left me fan mail, but when I click on the link to read/approve it, it just takes me to my fan page. The new followers don't appear there either. Thanks for your help!

            That has been happening to me too, this makes the third time. I never thought anything of it until today.
            
            The weird thing is I got three followers today, only one left a fan mail which I didn't see. I believe this person really left a fan mail but the link is useless.

            Yes, it looks like there was another but in that code.  We have just deployed a fix and tomorrow morning's digest should be the last one which has this problem.

   Thanks Ari, I have started seeing my fan mail again with the latest at the top of the list. I guess those that came in earlier are lost. Except for the one I received today, I don't see the fans who recently fanned me on my fan list. Will they receive notices of my new Hubs? I have a record of some of those Hubbers from my past e-mails. Much appreciated.

   I am not seeing fan mail of 2 fans that left mail yesterday. Does anyone know if the bug kicked in again? My mother left me a message with her fan mail, but it doesn't show up. I seen the same with three others. What should I do to see what their fan mail was?

   I was checking my fan mail again yesterday because it said in my email that I had a fan leave some mail that needed to be approved. Only when I clicked on my fan mail, this person didn't show up. Is there still a bug going on?

      Can you please tell me the name of the user that left you fan mail that you couldn't find?  Also, was this email that you received in the digest or in an individual email?
      
      I just tested the fan mail feature myself and it worked for me.  However, it is possible that there is a bug which only shows up under certain conditions.  If so, I would like to track it down.

   Thanks Ari,
   It started with a fan mail from my mother...mljdgulley354...she left me a message. I accepted it, but it disappeared. We waited a day and she did it again. I accepted it and it shows her profile under my fan mail but no message. On 9/11 in my daily digest, it said that-alazani67-left me fan mail, but when I checked to accept it there was nothing there. The same happened on 9/9 with...DRidge & Brian Anderson. I received a daily digest saying there was mail, but again no profile or message. I was able to accept one on 9/10, with no problems. I received a notice in both my individual email and daily digest.
   Thank you for looking into this!
   Note: It didn't matter if I was trying to access fan mail through my individual email, daily digest, or HP. None of them showed up. Thanks!

      We believe that we have fixed this issue, although it's possible that tomorrow morning's digest will still have some issues.  Can you please let us know if you continue to encounter this issue after tomorrow's digest goes out?
