We've made Halloween into a special, two-week Weekly Topic Inspiration theme. If you didn't have time to join in last week, why not have some Halloween fun now?
To give you lots of latitude on things to write about, I'm keeping this super broad, but in case you're looking for some more specific inspiration, here are some of the things folks search for regarding the topic: halloween recipes, halloween pictures, cheap halloween costumes, history of halloween, halloween city, halloween party, adult halloween costumes, funny halloween costumes, halloween ideas, halloween crafts, halloween music, baby halloween costumes, easy halloween costumes, kids halloween costumes, halloween masks, halloween movies, halloween clip art, halloween treats, halloween songs, halloween party games, halloween food ideas, toddler halloween costumes, and couples halloween costumes.
If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:
1) Click here to visit this week's topic. 2) Click the green button "answer this question". 3) Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it." 4) Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens 5) Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before. 6) After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.
I'm looking forward to reading Halloween hubs-unless they are full of spiders. I have a feeling that some of these will have spiders in them. some fake spiders look quite realistic. I am extremely arachnophobic.
Good gosh Me too! wish there could be a "beware spider inside" icon by the hub title .. once I had to make a spider 3D model for my student...which I couldn't look at myself and eventually deleted. Ugh!!!
I have enjoyed one Halloween season in my whole life in America...I absolutely loved the costume culture...I look forward to making a Halloween Hub. Thanks for the nice topic Simone.... Can we publish more the one "weekly topic inspiration" hub?
I should visit the forums more often. I just wrote a Halloween hub about costumes yesterday, but I hadn't been actively checking the forums to know it was the weekly topic. Oh well. Perhaps this will inspire me to post other Halloween-related hubs! It is the season, after all.
Here is a link to my new hub about Halloween. Children like to have fun on this day very much. So, to entertain them, you can follow this scenario that can be role-played at school or at home with a group of children. The scenario is called "Enchanted Forest" and teaches some good skills like team work and being friendly and helping, as well as sociability. http://avorodisa.hubpages.com/hub/Charm … n-scenario
Now this sounds like fun, Simone! A little spooky, a little childlike, and above all a little look into Halloween itself! I can't wait to read all the hubs. Flora, I hope the spider references are kept a minimal as well! Trick or Treat? Only the author's know for sure... Happy Hubbing Folks~ K9
Yay! It's Martha Stewart's favorite holiday too! Which means it might be mine, as well... And what a great first Hub for this week's Weekly Topic Inspiration program! I love it! Those games and the prank are entirely new to me- I can't wait to give 'em a go!
I wrote about the movie Insidious and how you can create a costume like one of the characters. I don't think anyone else has covered this yet, and since I love the movie, I thought I should. Here is the link: http://jeannieinabottle.hubpages.com/hu … en-Costume

Retro fashion trends are a hot topic these days so when looking for Halloween ideas for great costumes for the whole family start sometimes all we need is a great wig. With a little inspiration from the superstar celebrities of today as well as some characters from years gone by, your dressing up for a night of tricks or treats begins here, Remember that the best costumes for Woman, Men and Kids when complemented with a wig bring authenticity and such fun to a great holiday.
Our parents were tops at creating costumes from odds and ends in the back of their closets. Many a princess and superhero had their start in Grannie's rag bag. It was great fun to go though what was available and then decide what costume you might be able to make from it - but where, in this era of apartment living and de-cluttering, can we find a similar treasure trove to the attics of past generations?
OK, as long as there are no dumb questions, (only dumb answers) I'll ask whether a weekly topic Hub that includes the tag weekly Topic Inspiration must be published by this Sunday 12:00am PT. I've really gotten a late start on my Halloween Hub
Question! Will a Halloween short story count in the weekly topic inspiration? I have never experienced Halloween but my imagination is at work. I would rather write something fictional than write some thing about an even I don't know about.
This hub will deal with the various kinds of jewelry one can wear to match the spirit of Halloween. Spooky, funky and easy to make and wear jewelry are the need of the hour. This hub will present a selection of all that’s available for customers to buy on Amazon.
Halloween Jewelry Ideas - What Kind of Jewelry Will You Wear For Halloween
Aww...you didn't leave a comment box on that hub. I was going to suggest the ultimate politcally incorrect costume: get an old-fashioned kid's hobby horse (the stuffed-head-on-a-stick kind), a cheap, cheezy long blonde wig, and go as Lady Godiva! No costume hassle at all! Hee hee hee!
Our assistant came as a paper bag man one year, and as Lady Godiva the next - he did wear a pink body suit, though, mercifully! It was a very funny costume! Especially as he made sure he had about a three day's growth of beard.
I was going to leave a comment but there is no comments capsule. I think if I was going to go simple as you suggest, I would still paint my face or wear a mask to go to a party or answer the door to trick or treaters. I live in a condo and my friends and I don't hold Halloween parties, so if I did nothingto go the party, it would be just like I was hanging out with friends on any other night.
Before I came across this topic, I was already writing my first halloween theme hub about halloween party. But unfortunately, it was found to be a duplicate but all the words were originally written by me. Some of the ideas may not be unique though. I thought of giving up until I found this thread.
I guess I have to look around of unique ideas to write on....
Hey everyone! Because folks have been writing such AWESOME Hubs this week, let's make it a special two week Weekly Topic Inspiration theme!! Feel free to keep adding Halloween Hubs to the thread- let's have another week of spooky fun, hehee!
I just felt that people are not careful enough on Halloween. After all, it is a time when all kinds of scary creatures are likely to roam around, so here are my tips to protect yourself from goulies and ghosties and other scary creatures.
If you want to be a witch (scary or sweet), Spiderman, a vampire or a scary Skelton why not start with painting your face. Its easy when you know how and where to apply face paints. Kids and Adults all love to dress up and with some authentic make up you are sure to trick or treat the whole neighborhood or party!
For anyone who wants to learn how to face paint, here is a ghoulish step by step guide for the most fearsome and fun faces.
