We've made Halloween into a special, two-week Weekly Topic Inspiration theme. If you didn't have time to join in last week, why not have some Halloween fun now?

To give you lots of latitude on things to write about, I'm keeping this super broad, but in case you're looking for some more specific inspiration, here are some of the things folks search for regarding the topic:
halloween recipes, halloween pictures, cheap halloween costumes, history of halloween, halloween city, halloween party, adult halloween costumes, funny halloween costumes, halloween ideas, halloween crafts, halloween music, baby halloween costumes, easy halloween costumes, kids halloween costumes, halloween masks, halloween movies, halloween clip art, halloween treats, halloween songs, halloween party games, halloween food ideas, toddler halloween costumes, and couples halloween costumes.

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:

    1)    Click here to visit this week's topic.
    2)    Click the green button "answer this question".
    3)    Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it."
    4)    Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens
    5)    Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
    6)    After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

For more information on the Weekly Topic Inspiration program, check out the Learning Center guide.

I look forward to reading your Hubs and getting some fun Halloween ideas!

I'm looking forward to reading Halloween hubs-unless they are full of spiders. I have a feeling that some of these will have spiders in them. some fake spiders look quite realistic.  I am extremely arachnophobic.

Good gosh Me too! wish there could be a "beware spider inside" icon by the hub title .. once I had to make a spider 3D model for my student...which I couldn't look at myself and eventually deleted. Ugh!!!

Here is a link to my new hub about Halloween. Children like to have fun on this day very much. So, to entertain them, you can follow this scenario that can be role-played at school or at home with a group of children. The scenario is called "Enchanted Forest" and teaches some good skills like team work and being friendly and helping, as well as sociability.

Fun, Easy Halloween Costumes for Kids: Boys' Pirate Costumes

Our parents were tops at creating costumes from odds and ends in the back of their closets. Many a princess and superhero had their start in Grannie's rag bag. It was great fun to go though what was available and then decide what costume you might be able to make from it - but where, in this era of apartment living and de-cluttering, can we find a similar treasure trove to the attics of past generations?

Aww...you didn't leave a comment box on that hub.  I was going to suggest the ultimate politcally incorrect costume:
get an old-fashioned kid's hobby horse (the stuffed-head-on-a-stick kind), a cheap, cheezy long blonde wig, and go as Lady Godiva!  No costume hassle at all!  Hee hee hee!

Our assistant came as a paper bag man one year, and as Lady Godiva the next - he did wear a pink body suit, though, mercifully! It was a very funny costume! Especially as he made sure he had about a three day's growth of beard.

I was going to leave a comment but there is no comments capsule. I think if I was going to go simple as you suggest, I would still paint my face or wear a mask to go to a party or answer the door to trick or treaters. I live in a condo and my friends and I don't hold Halloween parties, so if I did nothingto go the party, it would be just like I was hanging out with friends on any other night.

Before I came across this topic, I was already writing my first halloween theme hub about halloween party. But unfortunately, it was found to be a duplicate but all the words were originally written by me. Some of the ideas may not be unique though. I thought of giving up until I found this thread.

I guess I have to look around of unique ideas to write on....
