I wrote a hub called I can scientifically prove God exists. I quoted many views of skeptics and posted them in the hub. Those quoted remarks have made the reject-bot call it duplicate content. Can we get that changed or do I have to erase the views of my critics and re-write it?
If most of your hub has been copied from somewhere else (as in quotes) then it will be deemed duplicate and unpublished.
The solution is to either delete some of the quotes or to write some original content to go with them. No one knows the exact percentage allowed by the robots, but it should be safe to go with 80 to 90% original.
Can you change the entire hubpages automated system... my guess would be no.
Add more original content, remove some of the longer quotes linking to the original content or giving a summary (not a paraphrase) of the arguments might work.
Anyway, it looks like a rewrite for you. Have fun.

I was reading a Hub on Hubpages, and was concerned to read the advice that the content we use in our Hubs should be unique, not something we've posted elsewhere on the net.I started out on Helium and have nearly 200 articles on that site. When I joined HubPages, I saw it as a great opportunity to...

I have several hubs about various quotations. All have been published without problems, yet since the change of subdomains 3 of these same type of hubs (on different subjects or different authors) have been flagged as duplicate. The quotes on all of the hubs under this subject are found from a...

I am doing a 20 "such and such" quotes about "such and such" hub. I even went back in after they marked it duplicate and made sure 400 of the words are my words, even though I know people googling it aren't going to want to read my words and are instead just going to be coming...

Curious--If I were to write a Hub about--and featuring--famous quotations, would the quotes trip the duplicate content warning?

Have any of you who have re-posted your articles (originally written anywhere else) noticed any specific dip in traffic after recent Google change?I find something amusing. My traffic is never too great to talk about. But today, after a little dip for a couple of days, my total traffic to hubs is...
