I just gave up trying to add a photo to a new hub I am creating. When I got to the upload stage nothing happened. I tried several times and deleting the module and starting again but still no joy! Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Well, at least I am not alone with the trouble! I wonder what it is?

I have had this problem now for 2 Days and as a result can't complete several hubs that I have written for this competition.
It ALSO stops you from uploading from the album here at HP - (your past pics)
Clearly this is a bug that is Bugging quite a few of us.. But is it Contagious?
And How Long before we can submit further hubs to this competition?
What browser are you guys using? IE gives me fits with photos, I only use Firefox consequently.

Don't they only do a daily draw from those hubs that are published on the day WS?
I often write to the photo.. not the other way round.. so for backward or lateral ones like me... it's just like pulling the handbrake on at 120mph

Yes, you're right... this would affect the daily drawing for you. Soooo frustrating. I've had problems in the past (they always seem to coincide with contest, too), but it's been fine recently. I hope you guys get this all sorted, it's incredibly maddening.
I cannot replicate this in Firefox, but I will ask the engineers to investigate.
In my case, if I start browsing for a photo to load and then check my photos on another browser, the capsule will not load and I have to save the capsule and start over again. As long as I do not recheck the photos on my computer after clicking "choose photos" I do not have this problem.
I have been gone for a couple of days, but when I was on the phone helping my mom with hers, she said she was experiencing the same problem. She said it was irritating because it had been doing this to her since her first hub a couple of days ago. I haven't had an issue with the photos yet, but it has been three or four days since I posted anything.
I had posted a thread the other day about pop up ads. Have any of you guys experienced this? Anytime I was reading hubs or profiles, an ad would randomly pop up.
Still not working for me!
Update: I tried Mozilla FF, not that I like using it, but it does work in there! So why not Chrome?
PLEASE..... Could SOMEONE in management get back to us on this and PROVIDE some information as to what the problem is - + - how long it is likely to take to fix it - + - what alternatives (other than going away) are available to us to enable us, to complete and publish the hours of work already spent writing our hubs?
Surely Someone can communicate with us on this issue proactively?
Is there ANYTHING that WE CAN DO.. in regard to this?
It has now been almost 3 days for me (so far)
- I don't think this request is unreasonable.. there is clearly some type of bug in the system - surely it hasn't affected communications with frustrated hubbers has it?
i just did a test - it'll change my profile pic if i want and I uploaded a pic to my album - using mfirefox.
Nope.... mine is completely snuffed and refuses to upload anything from any source.. I'm so frustrated by this coz I have written some really good stuff (well I think so anyway ) Grrrr
Mine is now thankfully working with Chrome! It just started working again. Very strange! Good luck with yours, Pearldiver.
Can Someone Please let us/me know how long this problem is going to plague the site?
How long does it actually take to simply communicate?
I'm so sorry for the troubles you guys are having. PD, have you tried Chrome? I'm about to start a hub so I'm praying the photo embedding will work. I'll let you know what my experience is.
Cheers Laura.. I'm pretty sure that the bug is in the HP site though.. and there isn't much to do on this end. But hey... who would know? No one on staff wants to say anything..

I am trying to create a new hub but the Photo module isn't working. I deleted one and started another but that didn't work too. I have tried refreshing but that doesn't help. Anyone else having this problem?

I tried to upload pictures for a new hub, but got a white box with an "X" instead of my pictures. I haven't had this problem before. Anyone else have problems on New Year's Day?

I have been trying to add photos to a new hub I am writing from my computer. I have done it in the past with no problem, and usually only took a few minutes.However now, it asks as though it is loading and even brings up the little thumbnail before you save it. But it continues to keep trying...
