Good day everybody... its vacation time once again and traffic will inevitably plummet. When traffic goes down the earnings will also act the same. Who among you has a positive earnings this month...
Well I know a hubber who has nice traffic because her Christmas hubs are doing well... oh how I wish published more hubs about the Yuletide season in the past two years...
I earn a lot more at several other times of the year than Christmas. Why do so many people think this has to be the peak earning time of the year?
For me it is - maybe because I just joined and my earnings can't go below what they were
But I actually made $3 already and may make another 2 or so
A warm welcome to HP lobo.. that's a good sign just keep on hubbing... earnings will pour in as long as you have quality hubs and sprinkle your works with some SEO...
Thanks
But my traffic dropped to 6 views today from 60 yesterday It was all google but it's the Christmas drop and nothing else as I still rank for my tomatoes
You know what lob it took me 8 months to get my first pay-out... But if you are willing to write a lot of useful hubs and you know some SEO you will earn very soon...
I started out with that kind of page views... but I am glad my views now is in the vicinity of 1k to 2.8k in a day... I hope I will hit the 4k to 5k range a day next year, this is a dream but it is doable.
Don't be satisfied with just 66 views and feel very happy about it... I know you can carved out more views soon... But this will take a lot of patience and endurance to be a good Hubber. You need to outrank the articles published earlier than you that's the reason why you need to have a thriving hub and need sometime before you eventually get page views and get some earnings.
But there are a lot of successful hubbers out there that earns after less than a year... read their hubs and get ideas from them.
Concentrate on writing hubs that will endure for a very long time and concentrate on hubs that has higher ads value
I'm not happy about it... The views reduced from 60 to 6!!
I have many hubs in mind and I'm even planning a 60 hubs in 20 days challenge in mid Jan as I got holidays then, now I'm buys with my exams so not writing new hubs.
Thanks relache for dropping by... Yeah that's the reason why I posted this since this is the trend I learned after few years of hubbing...
The General didn't complain about Christmas being his peak earnings season. He said this holiday was lower than last. I concur, this holiday has been lower.
Hi Keith! although page views dropped compared to the past few months I still have a good overall earnings this Christmas compared to the past two seasons hehehe...
Good day General,
My amazon hubs have cranked up a few notches, but traffic has slowed on average.
Its that time of year when lots of folks travel and don not really get much chance to access the net I reckon.
I hear prom dress traffic hypes up next month though.
Wish I could pick Bill Tancers brain for a few hours.
Hi Dale, nice to see you around...
Good thing you have nice earnings in Amazon. So far I just little with Amazon, I think I need to do some hubs about Amazon for the extra earnings... Hayz lack of Amazon hub is perhaps a chink on my armor...
I've been doing better the last two weeks (actually since October) because of my Christmas / Amazon hubs. But now, I'm starting to see traffic go down. I think I've lost about 25% of my page views. Guess people have already brought their Christmas gifts and are now on vacation .
Glad you dropped by emievil... actually you are the hubber I am mentioning hehehe.. you have fantastic hubs and you deserve extra earnings with your hard work and hmmm brilliance too...
Hi GH and everyone, I just checked and traffic usually slows down during the Christmas season, HP ads earnings is based on traffic and CPM, amazon sales however is usually good.
Wepeeeee and now PDH is here too... you are right on that my friend... Amazon sales again... I wish I have plenty of amazon hubs and christmas hubs...
During the holiday season, people aren't browsing the web as much for reading material; they don't have time. They're looking for specific things to help them solve problems related to this time of year.
It doesn't even need to be gift related. I've got a page on airline travel tips that always gets a nice juicy spike from November through December.
Consider: are there any topics you could write about that would solve a problem or answer a question people often have during the holiday season? (It could even be something like "What's Christmas like in Australia?" or some sort of informational topic. )
Yeah these are indeed awesome tips Greekgeek... pouncing on seasonal hubs... thanks for the awesome tips and time to drop by...
My amazon earnings went up both last month and even more so this month.
I'm quite happy. That's my textbook and travel fare money for next semester. I'm thinking of using these last few days before Christmas to do some research and start on next year's xmas hubs. Some of my best sales were from stuff written a year ago.
Glad to hear that from you... now I know that Amazon is great too, gotta invest sometime making some amazon hubs in the near future...
I have a great deal to write on my mind once I've completed that series I'll get along with some Amazon related hubs.
My earnings are down this month from what they were last month, but not too much.
Whoa and now its UW, glad to see you around my friend Ma'm hehehe... Nice to hear that from you UW...
Wow, just looked at Amazon. Those earnings have gone up...way up for me
Good for you Ma'm... in my two years of hubbing I just have two buys and that's terrible... but in the days ahead I am going to concentrate more with amazon..
My Amazon is WAY up but it was minimal before so not so hot still.. It is making up for the lower views that are starting to arrive for the holiday season..
Anyway, off the the bar to sink a few pilsen and eat some BBQ pork..
Come and join me General..
Still that's awesome...
Thanks for the invitation LM, you are so kind...
Amazon has been a little disappointing this year - it is perhaps 2/3 of what the season brought in last year in spite of MUCH higher traffic.
On the other hand, the check I just got from HPads is nearly double the total income from Nov PLUS Dec. of last year, so I'm not complaining.
Great and congrats - I hope to be there soon - I got lots of plans and I hope to implement them well
You win some you lose some but it balances out in the end... Nice dropping by wilderness... and you have a nice avatar too...
My earnings are higher than any other time....and HP earnings is only a small fraction of that!
HP earnings are a small fraction lucky you...
I can't imagine writing hubs for Amazon sales
That's not a surprise my dear Habee... hehehe you are indeed a super hubber i wish i could a fraction of what you earn...
Thats great Waynet...
A way to go man...

This is my second December.. I joined Hubpages in November 2010.
December 2010 earnings - Adsense, just over $3, Amazon sales - 1
December 2011 earnings and Amazon sales have improved beyond my expectations.
Happy Holidays!
Hey Rosie my HP this time is same as your Adsense I hope to fare much better within 365 days as well
Whoa congrats on that Rosie glad you find time to drop by...
December was fantastic for me for online earnings. It will drop off for me for a little while, since I had some Christmas articles that made freaky money, but winter sports are taking off, spring is just around the corner, and earnings will surge again.
Christmas is the money season for most, but if you have evergreen content and seasonal content spread out over the year, it's not that big of a drop.
It is great to hear that!
Now I know, evergreen and seasonal hubs will complement each other well..
Thanks a lot for the wonderful tips!

I saw a big improvement in the payout I made today, because of the hubs that were moved to niche sites. But when I check the stats of those hubs, what I see is different. They get a big spike in views the first day or two after they are moved, then the stats sort of flatline. Is this happening to...

Possibly I overlooked the answer to this question in the forums, but I have noticed over the past three weeks at least, a significant drop of at least half of my traffic views during this period. And of course a significant drop in my earnings. Are other writers in the community...

All of my earnings across all platforms are up 8.92% from October 2010. Just considering HP, I'm up 5.1%. This is my second January on HP and my earnings have increased from January to January by 411%. This is how I judge whether or not my business is growing. On new platforms I expect to see...

Prior to last month my idea of promoting Ebay was to stick an Ebay capsule at the end of my Amazon hubs, I made about $10 bucks a month doing that.So my first lesson was you want to make real money from any affiliate program - including Ebay - you have to design a hub to promote the products and...

I have had the lowest earnings from since the time I first made anything on HubPages as of late. I took a look through the forum and couldn't find reference to others having the same problem. What I'd usually make in one day, all of a sudden it is taking me a week to make. Is anyone else getting...

My HP traffic down since last three to four days and it's a matter of great concern for me. I have already written 50 hubs for the contest but still I am not seeing the traffic that I was seeing post google algorithm change. Is there anyone else who is facing the same problems. I have started...
