My traffic is the lowest ever...how long will this go on?
I don't know if I want to put any more effort on my hubs.
I know what you mean. I just started a new hub, but lost all enthusiasm and quit after about 10 minutes.
I wonder if some of the traffic slump doesn't have to do with Google's new privacy policy. A lot of people don't like it and it was all over the news channels. Google themselves may be way down on traffic.
I know this whole game with Google is getting tiresome. There is no security writing.
Hey ho.....that's life but I must admit I have been looking at the knitting as an alternative
Are there any articles that you haven't written because you thought that although you would really enjoy putting them together, that they wouldn't get you any traffic? Well why not write them now and just enjoy the process? You won't be expecting traffic, so you won't be disappointed, and you will be really enjoying your writing?
I like writing and the comradely but some earnings would be nice for all my efforts too.
its a good thing I have other creative outlets or someone would get a rant..
I hope that your traffic slump is very temporary Stacie, and it's always hard to lose the earnings, especially if it is money that is needed rather than for extras. I was plunged along with Randy, Izzy and others back in August and have spent a lot of time make changing changes, removing hubs etc etc et to no avail, the worst thing being there is no sure-fire way to improve things, you just have to wait it out.
So I have had a long hard look about what I really set out to do - which is write, so am now only writing about things that really interest me and concentrating more on fiction - my book is nearly finished! It's hard because I really need the income to return, but for me its better than wasting my time and energy on being negative about it, which I did for a while. I really believe that multiple income streams are the way of the future, so that when one slumps for a time, there is another one doing really well.
But its different strokes for different folks, and we all need to find our own way forward.
Looking forward to you updating us with the news of the highest traffic that you have ever had!
Is this a sudden drop in traffic? Or a steady decline that many others have seen?
I had a look at your pages and all the ones I checked seem to be sandboxed. I couldn't find one coming up in the normal way in Google search.
Its a miserable experience- my second account was hit in the first Panda. That account never recovered but plenty of other accounts have, so there is always hope.
It is worth unpublishing any really poor performers (pages that never got traffic) and waiting a few weeks. It is also worth cutting Amazon and Ebay capsules. The learning center page on sudden traffic loss has useful advice.
My traffic was hit about 6 months ago, dropping to almost no traffic, but in the last few days, it has bounced back to what used to be normal, so there is hope ...
it sounds like Google wants to be the only advertiser if you think i have to cut my other affiliate capsules...
I do well with Amazon
Stacie, correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't your traffic being going up and down like a yoyo since subdomains came in?
I'm sure you'll bounce back in a week or two without doing anything to your hubs.
If you are doing well with Amazon it is difficult to see what the problem is.
Can anyone tell me what is this Panda ?? ... How it is affecting Hubpages ???..
I have avoided a sudden cataclysmic loss of traffic, apart from one, relatively brief episode last September. However, my fear now is gradual slide, aka Death by a thousand cuts!
Death by a thousand cuts! oh Paul, that's so painful. I hate cuts, specially paper cuts. ...My traffic seems to have stabilized (fingers crossed!).
Well, my traffic certainly isn't good. I am not sure whether it is stable, or gradually going down, as a gradual decline from Monday to Saturday can fit with a weekly cycle. I will have a better idea in a couple of days and I can see what highs (or lows) it reaches on Sunday and Monday.
I can say for certain though that there is no dramatic upward trend! ;-)

I see signs that Traffic is Starting To Come Back After the Latest Panda? It is hard to confirm since HubPages is not providing traffic stats during their changeover to a new data provider. Has anyone else noticed a recovery in traffic after the steep Panda related drop off?

Everyone I know here seems to have their Google traffic back. I don't know about Randy, he hasn't posted recently.I am taking a long hard look at my writing, and I guess it falls at every hurdle, somehow.Yet when I search Google for many topics, I see first page results that I should be able to...

I don't get involved much in the forums, but I have been following with interest the ground-hog day discussions about the latest Panda update at Google.I think we'll find that, after a brief period in which everything re-jigs to the new tune, this update (much like the last one) will be good for...

Now that the general Hubpages population can join the Hubpages ad program I have to wonder, is it worth it? I have been with Hubpages about two months and have only gained a couple clicks on Adsense. Do I have a better chance of making money from the HP program, or should I stick with...

I'm guessing it's because school started this week, but today my page views have taken a drastic drop. They have been cut by more than half...is this happening to anybody else?
