I was invited to go out to a karaoke at a local restaurant(no bars here) and that thought of listening to others(or me) sing off key was enough to scare me..or maybe its because I could have a glass of wine to loosen me up
anyone else sing at these places?
I LOVE to karaoke. I don't drink, I go to bars just to karaoke. The main thing to keep in mind is only one in ten people can actually sing, it's more for the fun, so don't worry if you can't sing. The other thing to keep in mind is even the people who can sing aren't there to show off, they're there to have fun, and won't make fun of you or anything like that if you butcher a song. They'll laugh, and applaud you cause it takes a lot of courage to get up there and sing.

Anyone know when to vote for the Hubbies?A recent HP report said, "To make sure you do not miss this year's Hubbies, be sure to follow the HubPages Blog." Did I miss it?

What is the best song to sing for karaoke, especially if you want to get a whole bar to sing along?

How good a singer do you have to be to sing Karaoke? Is karaoke just for fun (whether you are good or bad) or is it a contest for singers who are good that need their egos stroked on a weekly basis?
