Hubpages added yahoo in its video feature but withdrawn many features from link. Now search supports only hubpages and not google or some other sites that was supported earlier.

The old features should be resumed.

Link capsule is meant to provide links to own hubs of similar nature of same hubber or other hubbers. Rarely other sources (google etc.)are linked by hubbers. May be, HP has modified this link based on the usage of this module by hubbers.

You can still add links to anywhere on the web, you just can't search for them from within the capsule. Our intent was to simply the user interface by focusing on the most common usage scenario.

What I'd suggest is that you just open another browser window and do your search with google directly in that window.  When you find the site you want to link to, just paste the URL of the site into the link capsule.

        Hi Dishyum, Jyoti,

In the link capsule, the general search was removed because it didn't work consistently.  If you had a good experience with that feature, I am glad to hear it.  Others did not have a good experience.

We made the decision to remove the feature in the effort to improve the over all functionality of the link capsule.  Do you find the link capsule easier to use now?  Are there any other features you would like to see changed on link capsule.

Thanks very much for your feedback.

          Thanks Larry.

I think the 'open link in new window' would be a good option smile

    Paul, Larry and all,
It is indeed true that other links were not working properly that is why people used hubpages only.It is still better to link through capsule than to open a new window.
Great site like hubpages can easily improve the situation and resume the facility in improved way.
    Looking for reactivation.
