Should doctors refused to accept children patient without vaccination?

    Why or why not?

    Hi  prettydarkhorse,
Vaccination is very important responsibility which must be discharged on the ends of parents as well as other side but refusing to accept the children patient on this ground is surely not appreciable.

I think if I was against vaccination, and my child's doctor was insistent about them, I'd probably want to find another doctor.

Conversely, if I was a doctor, and believed children should be vaccinated, and had a patient who refused to vaccinate, I'd probably suggest they find a doctor who was more in tune with their wishes.

Well, no. Unfortunately the anti-vax crowd continues to grow, so if all doctors refused to see unvaccinated children, you'd have a lot of children without proper, regular care. And, to be blunt, it's not the poor kid's fault that their parents make stupid decisions, so they shouldn't be denied care because of it.

Make sense to me. This is obviously a community health problem  and the degree to which other people are affected by other people's beliefe cannot be discounted. You def have a point.

In my mind, there is no acceptable excuse for any medical worker to refuse to treat a child or anyone else for that matter.  Medicine should be a calling, done for the sake of helping humanity though I realize too many are in it for the money.

Children are innocents, vaccinated or not.

It's a really sad day in America when we realize that by law every child is entitled to a free and appropriate public education but not to medical care.  Personally, while I despise the Affordable Healthcare Act also known as Obamacare and socialized medicine of any kind, I despise more the very idea of a child being denied treatment.

With that being said, I'm not a fan of vaccines either.  Too many children have developed autism that has been linked to vaccines.  Regardless, they are God's gifts and must be cared for cost and circumstance be damned.

There are vaccines which are really proven effective like polio and measles. Result of the eefect of other vaccines are inconclusive. Thank you.

The only people to link autism to vaccines are parents without medical degrees and one fraudulent doctor. Just so we're clear.

Having taught autistic children for over ten years, you are wrong. Too many only display symptoms on the spectrum after getting the shots. Funny how Bill Gate, a major proponent of them also believes in population control and squashes much evidence.

Uh, no. I'm not wrong. You're giving me anecdotal evidence which pretty much means squat if you want to actually *prove* something. I believe in scientific evidence.

I work at a doctors surgery part time and it is the parents decision as to whether they have there children vaccinated. The GPs will however encourage it they won't not see the patient if they haven't been vaccinated they have a duty of care to all of their patients.

Public schools are required by law to have proof of vaccination after X amount of days enrolled in school. It makes me wonder where this large group of kids that are not vaccinated is coming from.

Public schools also give medical, religious, and philosophical exemptions. It's not that hard to get around it.

Yup, you are exempted if you present proof of those.
