What makes religion........so wrong, negative, destructive, & even........EVIL?
In what way is religion evil?
The way some people use it. Kind of like guns or politics, actually.
People. As they are inherently all those things.
I've always thought it was evil to see evil. There is good and bad in everything.
Truth is in degrees. Evil is the absence of reason. To a high degree, I agree with gmw
Only Federal politician are more evil.
I don't believe in an absence of reason. It's simply an absence of reason you understand.
Everything has reason. If I can explain anything I do with honesty and no harm, there is no evidence of evil
If they can't explain what they do honesty and without harm.
That is evil without reason to what most should be able to understand.
“With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.”
― Steven Weinberg

Science is something you don't worship and offer your entire soul.
It's more like a branch in a tree of life. Or tool of the mind or eyes for observation.

For context, the details aren't the point, the action is. That the student appears to be an activist is only important relative to what is claimed and reported to be his 'bullying' behavior: whether it was as innocent as the student claims or as strident as his background might indicate.It...

I've noticed there's a zillion threads about Christianity and other beliefs, etc. (Well, not a zillion, but ya know); and I think they're all hugely interesting. But haven't seen one that's specifically labeled for Christian discussion.Someone please point me to one if...
