Why are people self-centered,but preach others to love thy neighbours?
Robert Burns, the great poet, said: "O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us".
Many people know how they want to be treated and what the morally correct things to do are (love thy neighbour); but, are unable to see themselves from the point of view of others. These people see the world from their point of view only; not realizing that they are actually quite self-centered.
