There are many good schools for distance learning, but the one I recommend is Western Governors University (WGU) for several reasons:
    - Reasonable tuition
    - Competency based
    - No classrooms or fixed course schedules

Competency based means if you already know a subject, you have an advantage.  You don't need to sit in classes for a set amount of time or to hear information you already know.  Once you have competency, you take the exam or submit your assignments.

All courses are self-paced, so you work on your own schedule and from wherever you have books or your computer.

The most important consideration is making sure you attend a college or university that is accredited. That is the recognition that is needed for the degree or certificate you receive to  be worthy of spending your time and money on. You can find accredited online degree programs here

After locating a good source of accredited programs you need to decide what your going to study. That has a big impact on what school is right for you since most schools have different areas of expertise.

Well, there are many schools that offer decent distance education. But it is essential to look for schools that are accredited.

I have completed an online course in healthcare management from Independence University. For over 30 years, the university has been offering distance education programs (http://www.independence.edu/ ). Their schedule for distance education program is suitable for individuals who are looking for some flexibility in education while continuing working.
